Topic: Ignorant Is Not An Excuse
If I had not come and spoken unto them, they had not had sin: but now they have no cloak for their sin. John 15:22
We have often been told in the law court that, ignorant is not an excuse before the judge. The law must take it full cause on any offender. To avoid being condemned by the judge, you must know the laws and obey them. God is the supreme judge of the whole universe and the Bible teaches that every one will appear before the judgment seat of God on the last day to be judged; and whoever not found written in the Lamb book of life shall be cast into everlasting fire (prison). Rev. 20:15
Since God knew that it’s only sin that will separate man from eternity with Him in Heaven, and since He loved humanity, He quickly made available the cure for it. Heb. 9:22. The blood of Jesus on the Cross is the cure for sin of man. He sent Jesus to the world and to the Cross for the forgiveness of sin. Only those that believe in Him and accept Him as their Lord and Saviour shall be saved and washed from their sins. Jesus told His disciples in the above Scripture that, if He had not come to tell the world about their sin and that He is the only cure, they would have stand before Him and claim ignorant of it, but now, they cannot because they have no excuse for not believing Him as the propitiation for their sin. Matt. 1:21, 1 John 3:8. Today is the day of your Salvation, surrender your life to Jesus now.
* Your sin has been paid for by Jesus, no excuse again for living in it.
