Jesus: True Light Of The World
For with thee is the fountain of life: in thy light shall we see light. Psalms 36:9
In creation, the thing God commanded to appeared was light to lightened the darkness in the world. And in John 1:4-5, the Bible says, In him was life; and the life was the light of men. And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not. Jesus called Himself the true light that has come into the world to light it up, but men rather preferred darkness because their deed are evil. John 3:19-21. Little wonder David said, The LORD is my light… whom shall I fear? the LORD is the strength of my life; Psalms 27:1. Light gives life, boldness and strength to them that have it. If you desire life, boldness and strength, you need Jesus Christ because He possesses these three attributes.
What is the prove that Jesus is the true light of the world? First, when was He born into the world, the star appeared to give light to the shepherds and Bible says, ‘To give light to them that sit in darkness. Luke 1:79. And when Jesus (the true light) was about to died on the Cross, for three hours, darkness was on the face of the earth. Luke 23:44-45. And in His light has He made us a light to the world. Matt. 5:14-15
