A Promise For You From Bible Promises:

Topic: Just Hit The Point [14/09/2016]

Wilt thou be made whole? The impotent man answered him, Sir, I have no man, when the water is troubled, to put me into the pool: but while I am coming, another steppeth down before me. John 5:6-7. Read: Jn 5:1-9

In Isaiah 65:24, the Bible says, “And it shall come to pass, that before they call, I will answer; and while they are yet speaking, I will hear”. This tells us that God is Omniscience :God who possesses universal knowledge. He knows our hearts and what goes on in it. But man in his cunning way tries to twist words even when praying to Him. The above story is about an impotent man who had an infirmity for thirty eight years. He was beside the solution to his problem, yet, was not able to crawl into the pool. Jesus perceived he had spent years there, moved with compassion, approached the impotent man and asked, Do you want to be healed? Instead of him to answer, yes! I want to be healed, he began to tell story of how nobody helped him into the pool. Jesus ignored his complaint and healed him anyway.

Many of us are like the man above. Instead of us to tell God what we’re going through, we first rigmarole and dilly-daĺly about our request thereby wasting precious time. God wants you to hit the point when He ask you, what do you want? Blind Bartimaeus was smart and wise, he told Jesus, that I might receive my sight and Jesus’ answer was, go thy way; thy faith has made thee whole. Mk 10:46-52. This means, not going straight to tell God what you want is lack of faith. God wants you to come boldly and speak to Him because He loves you and want to listen and do it for you.

* What do you desire from God, go to Him in faith, humility and boldness and tell Him, He will answer you in Jesus Name.
