A Promise For You From Bible Promises:

Topic: Knowledge without Application [26/08/2016]

And all the children of Israel murmured against Moses and against Aaron: and the whole congregation said unto them, Would God that we had died in the land of Egypt! or would God we had died in this wilderness! Numbers 14:2. Read: Num 14:1-5

When knowledge becomes dormant, it turns to foolishness. When you make an error, it’s called a mistake, when you repeat it the second time, it becomes a choice. In their bondage, they cried unto God and He sent them a deliverer in the person of Moses. But each time they encountered a problem they threatened to go back to the land of captivity. They refused to apply the knowledge of God’s power that delivered them, they became ungrateful to God Almighty an ended in the wilderness without getting to the promised land. When you fail to apply what you’ve learnt, you become a victim of life circumstances.

David on the other hand said to king Saul, “Thy servant kept his father’s sheep, and there came a lion, and a bear, and took a lamb out of the flock: And I went out after him, and smote him, and delivered it out of his mouth: and when he arose against me, I caught him by his beard, and smote him, and slew him. Thy servant slew both the lion and the bear: and this uncircumcised Philistine shall be as one of them, seeing he hath defied the armies of the living God. David said moreover, The LORD that delivered me out of the paw of the lion, and out of the paw of the bear, he will deliver me out of the hand of this Philistine. And Saul said unto David, Go, and the LORD be with thee. 1 Sam 17:34-37.
