The Kogi State Government has assured of equal access and opportunities to worshipers of the two major religions who are residents within the State.

Capt Idris Wada, the State Governor gave the assurance when he received in audience, Rev. P.J.A. Olaiya, President, Living Faith Foundation worldwide, who is in the State for a three day minister’s conference.

The Governor who was represented by his Deputy, Yomi Awoniyi, said the present administration under the leadership of Capt Idris Wada, whom he described as a man of faith, has given equal opportunity and access to the worshipers of the major religions in the State.

Capt Wada commended the decision to host the conference in the State, said the country more than ever before, requires constant prayers to enable it pass through the current challenging phase of insecurity, violence and other issues bedeviling the country.

The Governor appealed to Nigerians to remain hopeful on the nation Nigeria, disclosing that only those with insight on the promises of God and have believe on his doctrines would overcome the current phase of life the nation is going through.

While noting that the State Government has strived to strike a balance between politics, through the provision of good governance and by improving the well being of the lives of the people, he added that it has equally created the enabling environment for worshipers of the major religion to practice and worship their belief peacefully and unhindered.

The Governor commended the peaceful and harmonious co-existence existing between adherents of both religion, assured that government would remain focus in meeting the yearning and aspiration of people of the State.

Earlier in his remarks, Rev. P.J.A. Olaiya, President Living Faith Foundation worldwide, disclosed that the greatness of a nation is determined in times of challenges, assured that God will in this season, lift Nigeria to greatness.

Rev Olaiya, appealed to Nigerians to imbibe the virtues of humility, patience, disclosed that peace and not violence remains the panacea to the greatness of the nation Nigeria.

The clergyman urged Nigerians to exercise their divine strength in this period of challenges, assuring that the country is set to enter a new phase of growth and development.

Highlights of the visited attended by Pastors of the Living Faith Foundation Ministries and other Pastors resident in Lokoja, was the offering of special prayers for the country the State and those in positions of authority in Nigeria.
