Kogi State Government has promised to provide equitable distribution of basic infrastructural amenities to various communities across the State.

The State Deputy Governor, Yomi Awoniyi made the promise at Okeagi, and Ilemo,  in Ilai communities in Mopamuro LGA during a visit to the area to solicit support for the PDP House of Assembly candidate.

The Deputy Governor said the government under Captain Idris Wada has made concerted effort to meet the yearning  and aspiration of communities in the state.

Awoniyi said that the issue of road construction,health care facilities and bore hole demanded by the communities would be looked into by the present administration and urged the communities to remain resolute to the Wada’s administration at all time. Awoniyi said despite dwindling merger resources to state everything humanly possible would be done to ensure that development reached all part of  the state.

The Deputy Governor reiterated the commitment of captain Wada to bring about peace and development closer to the people at the grassroots in the three senatorial district of the state.
Awoniyi promised personal contribution to Okeagi communities said within two weeks all that is necessary would be done to reduce the suffering of the people in providing them with bore holes.

He disclosed that road ,health and improved quality of education are  the main focus of the present administration of Captain Idris Wada, urged them to remain supportive of government to enable it deliver on its promises. Speaking, the Oba of Okeagi,Oba I. Aogunkolu and Oba of Ilai ,Oba S Ajilaye Abayomi, all appealed to the state government to help reduce their plight especially by the constructing their road, improve health institutions , quality education system geared towards reducing their suffering, adding that successive governments have abandoned the area in the provision of social amenities. The Traditional Rulers promised their unflinching support to the administration of Captain Idris Wada, promising to support the PDP candidate.
