Local government Workers in Kogi have been assured of the payment of the balance of all their outstanding salaries in the next few days.

Kogi State Deputy Governor, Yomi Awoniyi, gave the indication at a People’s Democratic Party, stakeholders meeting held in Mopa, Mopamuro LGA.

Awoniyi described the forth coming governorship as a deciding moment for the state, said another four years for governor idris Wada, would help reposition the state for sustainable development.

He described another tenure for Capt Wada as an opportunity for the people of West and Central Senatorial district to actualise powershift, and build a virile youth empowerment program.

Awoniyi appealed to members of the PDP from the area not to void their votes in the forth coming party primaries, but to choose right by casting their votes for Capt Idris Wada.

The Deputy Governor pointed out that the people of Mopamuro are now united in their support for the PDP, said the party will win the area convincingly in the forth coming governorship election.
Awoniyi thanked the people for their support for the present administration assured of better days ahead and for improved welfare and well-being of people of the state.

Also speaking, Chief Sam Akande, called on people of the area to support Capt Wada in his second term bid, assured that the party is now more united to prosecute the governorship election.

Chief Akande described the Wada/Awoniyi ticket for another term in office as one that will strengthen the existing, peace, unity and development in the state.

Also speaking, Chief Shola Ojo and Funsho Daniyan, charged the people to remain focused with the Wada aspiration describing their first tenure as eventful amidst the several challenges faced by the administration.
