Nigerians have been asked to live lives of positive impacts if they want to be remembered after their demise.

Kogi State Deputy Governor, Yomi Awoniyi made the remarks at the funeral service of Pa Micheal Awe Bello, held at the First Baptist Church Ileteju Mopa, also asked nigerians to live lives with renewed hope and vigor for a better Nigeria.

The deputy governor described life as transient, but makes more meaning when people live lives for others, said late Pa Bello,s life epitomizes love and compassion for his fellow man, appealed to Nigerians to love one another in order to move the nation higher on the path of development.
Awoniyi described the death of Pa Bello as coming at a time his counsel on patriotism, patience, humility and hard work would have been most needed.

Awoniyi tasked christians on peace, love and commitment to nation building, disclosing that the administration of Capt Idris Wada, is absolutely committed to building a strong and virile state.
The Deputy Governor urged Nigerians to imbibe the spirit of service to their fatherland, and patriotism as a way of life in moving the country forward, said the peaceful Presidential and National Assembly election has proven that the country’s interest is far greater than any other interest, said all that is needed is collective commitment.

The Deputy Governor assured of fairness, equity and justice by the present administration of Capt Idris Wada to all section of the state, said the government and people of the state feel deeply touched by the demise of Pa Bello, having lived a fulfilled life.

Awoniyi called on the Children, late Pa Bello left behind to emulate his style of life that places community and religious service above other consideration, console with the family members and all those he left behind.

In a message at the church service, Rev Joshua Ige, of First Baptist Church Mopa, said man’s life is for a while, called on Christians to be concerned about what will be said about them while alive.

The clergyman admonished Christians not to be deceived, advised them to do good to their fellow men for whatsoever a man sow while on earth that he will reap.

Rev Ige prayed God to grant late Pa Bello eternal rest, describing him as a man who loved the things of God all through his life on earth.

In a vote of thanks, one of the daughter of decease, Ronke Bello, said the life of humility, selfless service, hard work and commitment to nation building, qualities they imbibed from their father will be held in high esteem by the children Pa Bello left behind, described their fathers death as shocking and creating a vacuum that will be difficult to fill.

She said the training, care and love shown them by their father, will serve as an elixir to them in their journey of life to love others and contribute positively to the society.
