Memorise: “There is treasure to be desired and oil in the dwelling of the wise; but a foolish man spendeth it up.” – Proverbs 21:20

Read: John 6:12-13

12 When they were filled, he said unto his disciples, Gather up the fragments that remain, that nothing be lost.

13 Therefore they gathered them together, and filled twelve baskets with the fragments of the five barley loaves, which remained over and above unto them that had eaten.

Bible In One Year: Ezekiel 13-15, Hebrews 11:20-40

MESSAGE:

Economic famine can be provoked by a wasteful habit. It is very bad to waste what ever you have. If you feel you have more than enough, rather than waste the excess, give to those who don’t have enough. This will please God greatly.

It is a grave sin to waste the resources of God. When you are in any position to handle the church’s resources, ensure that you don’t waste it son as not to incur God’s wrath. The Bible condemns wastage, so anyone who wastes is disobeying God’s word.

You need to also start imbibing a saving culture from now. Start with you pocket money; develop the habit of saving part of it before you start spending.

Action Point:

Open a bank account today where you will be saving a percentage of your pocket money.

Hymn 2

1 When we walk with the Lord in the light of His Word,
What a glory He sheds on our way!
While we do His good will,
He abides with us still,
And with all who will trust and obey.

Chorus:
Trust and obey, for theres no other way
To be happy in Jesus, but to trust and obey.

2 Not a shadow can rise, not a cloud in the skies,
But His smile quickly drives it away;
Not a doubt or a fear, not a sigh or a tear,
Can abide while we trust and obey.

3 Not a burden we bear, not a sorrow we share,
But our toil He doth richly repay;
Not a grief or a loss, not a frown or a cross,
But is blessed if we trust and obey.

4 But we never can prove the delights of His love
Until all on the altar we lay;
For the favor He shows, for the joy He bestows,
Are for them who will trust and obey.

5 Then in fellowship sweet we will sit at His feet,
Or we’ll walk by His side in the way;
What He says we will do, where He sends we will go;
Never fear, only trust and obey.
