The MESSAGE:
The spirit of mammon is demonic. It is subtle and persuasive and it is not easy to be detected except vigilance is applied. This is the spirit that is attached to money; it makes man feel that money can solve all problems and do all things. This is deception because it is actually God that can do all things. Money cannot buy healing, deliverance, grace, mercy and so on. The very raw state of man is expressed on how he handles money. There is a daily conflict between the spirit of mammon and the Holy Spirit in our decision making. The spirit of mammon tries to control man; it will say, “Buy and keep for yourself”, but the Spirit of God will say, “Sow and ye shall reap.” The spirit of mammon teaches man to be selfish and self-centred. It can direct man on how to cheat and steal. It also attracts other things into the life of man like pride, greed, arrogance, self-sufficiency, self-indulgence, etc, which will cause man not to acknowledge blessings from God. Puritan Richard Baxter said, “When men prosper in the world, their minds are lifted up with their estates and they can hardly believe that they are so ill, while they feel themselves so well.” The main objective of mammon in the life of man is to steal our trust in God (Proverbs 3:5-9). When a man depends on unrighteous mammon, he becomes unfaithful to God.
Aggressive love of money can lead us into dishonesty, corruption and compromise. Since it leads to iniquity, it is called the mammon of iniquity. There is no need to trade wealth because they attract worries. When we depend on God as our provider and we are faithful in tithes, vows, offerings, first fruit, etc., He is faithful and just to supply all our needs according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

- Powers speaking death into my destiny, die, die, die, in the name of Jesus.
