12 Then said he unto me, Fear not, Daniel: for from the first day that thou didst set thine heart to understand, and to chasten thyself before thy God, thy words were heard, and I am come for thy words.
13 But the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me one and twenty days: but, lo, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me; and I remained there with the kings of Persia.

The MESSAGE:
Today, we are looking at the mystery of prayer. We all know that God answers prayers. But, there are deep mysteries of prayer that we need to know and learn from. We are to know first and foremost that between the time we offer prayers and the time we come up with testimonies, there are mysterious behind-the-scene-events. This is the lesson that we are to learn from Daniel’s prayer, as recorded in today’s passage.

Daniel’s prayer broke the chains of Babylonian captivity, though it was fiercely contested. While his visible enemies tried to stop him from praying, his invisible enemies tried to deny him answers to his prayers. His prayers resulted in a contest between ministering angels and hindering demons. Unanswered prayers are not always because of denial, but because opposing forces are perpetrating wickedness. Most prayers are answered in heaven immediately, while some suffer from delays caused by satanic oppositions. This is why understanding the causes of delays will lead you to discover the secret of victory-promoting prayers. This is the lesson to learn from the delay that met the delivery of the answers to Daniel’s prayer.
When the prince of Persia withstood the answer to Daniel’s prayer, the Lord was about to grant deliverance to His people from Babylonian captivity. It should not surprise you any longer why you are going through peculiar battles, difficulties and hardships, in spite of your prayers. From Daniel’s example, you should understand that you go through such experiences because the fulfillment of God’s plan is around the corner for you. Daniel prayed. But, roadblocks were mounted by the prince of Persia. Eventually, Daniel prevailed. You too shall prevail today. God shall grant you angelic assistance, as you persevere on your knees in prayers.
