TOPIC: Warning Against Worldliness (II) (Mountain Of Fire and Miracle Ministries, MFM Daily Devotional 18 December 2019)

The MESSAGE:
Today, we shall examine the evil effects of worldliness. This is important so that, as children of God, we are further convinced that we must avoid worldliness like a plague. First, worldliness destroys the influence of the truth. One of the characteristics of those already caught in the trap of worldliness is that they are sermon-proof. Worldlines hinders the word of God from bearing good fruits in their lives. In explaining the Parable of the Sower, the Bible in Matthew 13:22 says, “He also that received seed among the thorns is he that heareth the word; and the care of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, choke the word, and he becometh unfruitful.” You must not allow the love of the world to destroy the benefits of God’s word in your life.

Also, worldliness deludes men into a state of false security. You should be careful not to get lost in the pleasure-seeking rave that has consumed people in these end times. You are in the world but not of the world. Matthew 24:38 and 39 buttress this point, “For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.”
Another evil effect of worldliness is that it makes earthly affections supreme. The Bible enjoins us to attach more importance to heavenly and spiritual things and set our affection on them rather than the things of the world. 1 Corinthians 7:32-33 underscores the point, “But I would have you without carefulness. He that is unmarried careth for the things that belong to the Lord, how he may please the Lord: But he that is married careth for the things that are of the world, how he may please his wife.” Beloved, let the love of God be supreme in your heart and life.
One more evil effect of worldliness you should not ignore is that it moulds the activities and plans of life. In Ephesians 2:2, the Bible warns believers against walking according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that works in the children of disobedience. What this means is that worldliness will make you susceptible to the domination of the devil and to walk in obedience to the prince of this world and the system of this world. Finally, worldliness is evil because it leads to religious apostacy. Those who are trapped in the web of worldliness will end up forsaking God. Apostle Paul buttressed this point when he made a lamentable cry about a man called Demas in 2 Timothy 4:10, “For Demas hath forsaken me, having loved this present world, and is departed unto Thessalonica; Crescens to Galatia, Titus unto Dalmatia.”
Beloved, worldliness is destructive, you must not allow the enemy to lure you into its net or trap. Remember that the world passes away with all its evil affections; only those who do the will of God will abide forever. I pray that God will give you the grace to love Him above all things and to do His will to you end, in Jesus’ name.

3. Father, help me to make Your love supreme in my heart, in the name of Jesus.

4. I refuse to walk according to the course of this world, in the name of Jesus.
5. I break the hold of the prince of the power of the air over my life, in the name of Jesus.
6. I will not fall into the error that Demas made, in the name of Jesus.
7. I overcome all the devices of the enemy against my life and the Church of God, in the name of Jesus.

70 l apply the penalty of tormenting fire against household witches, in Jesus’ name.
71 I bind every spirit helping my enemies, in the name of Jesus.
72 I cancel by the blood of Jesus, every satanic prayer against me, in Jesus‘ name.
73 Every utterance, designed to shorten my life, backfire, in the name of Jesus.
74 O great wind, from the wilderness, arise, locate and blow away the houses of satanic prophets, prophesying against me, in Jesus‘ name.
75 O great wind, from the wilderness, arise, locate and silence the voices of evil powers speaking against my destiny, in the name of Jesus.
76 Every incantation of darkness and death wishes against me, backfire, in the name of Jesus.
77 Every voice, speaking to terminate my existence, be terminated, in Jesus’ name.
78 Weapons of warfare, assigned to me, from any satanically anointed tongue,backfire, in the name of Jesus.
79 My enemies, dig your hole and dig it well, then, fall into it, in Jesus‘ name.
80 Every evil priest, ministering against me, at evil altars, receive the sword of God, in the name of Jesus.
81 Father, let every satanic priest ministering against me at evil altars fail down and die, in the name of Jesus.
82 l withdraw my name from every evil altar, in the name of Jesus.
83 I withdraw anything representing me from every evil altar, in Jesus’ name.
84 Anything done against my life, under demonic anointing, be nullified, in the name of Jesus.
