FIRE SCRIPTURE: Job 14:1-22
MEMORY VERSE: “We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed;” – 2 Corinthians 4:8-9
The MESSAGE:
Sister Sola had two persistent dreams: number one dream was that she was wearing the most beautiful and expensive dress, but she was wearing no underwear and she was afraid that her beautiful dress would be stained. Number two dream was of being molested by spirit husband. A highly respected professor of psychology, her husband, who had never really done well in his business had started drinking and developed the habit of humiliating her at the least opportunity, even in the presence of their children. Their daughter was struggling with barreness in her marriage and their son was just recovering from depression. Sola was extremely fearful that the man would get drunk and expose their problems and bring her open shame.
This scenario may sound familiar to many who are bombarded by problems from every side, even in the dream and are beginning to feel deserted by God. Realise that this kind of situation, described in 2 Corinthians 4:8-9 has happened to others, some are still in it and many more will still go through it. It is the reality of man’s situation, brought about by the curse on Adam and Eve, as stated in Job 14:1
As Christians, if you find yourself in the devil’s hot soup, you must realise that your strength is in the Lord your God and not physical (2 Corinthians 4:10) and He is bigger than any problem.
You are not allowed to compare yourself to others or be better. You are not allowed to give way to tears or depression or hopelessness. Rather, praise and thank God without ceasing all the time for His blessings in your life, count them, name them one by one. You are not allowed to give up, make negative statements or take it out on other people. Rather, pray at all times, for all things and in all situation.
You are not allowed to blame other people or make excuses for yourself. Give your life afresh to Christ; confess all your sins and repent. Rather than see yourself as a failure, look up to God to correct your mistakes and strengthen you.
God may be trying to get you closer to Him. He may want to promote you physically or spiritually; but He wants to be sure that you will not fail Him. Therefore, give your foundation a thorough overhaul over and over again.
Beloved, your God says He has overcome the world, therefore you should not let your heart be troubled; just believe (John 14:1; 16:33). Therefore cling to Him, the Author and Finisher of your faith.

- Father, anoint me to do powerful things for Your kingdom, in the name of Jesus.
EVENING - I refuse to be diverted from the path of blessings, in the name of Jesus.
- Every agent of impossibility, fashioned against me, scatter, in the name of Jesus.
- Every curse of impossibility, issued against me, backfire, in the name of Jesus.
- Every hole in my hand, be sealed by the blood of Jesus, in the name of Jesus.
