The MESSAGE:
Most times, we face the temptation of the desire to misdirect our love. Love is a flexible term in English language but the expression has been abused. The act of betrayal by Judas Iscariot to Jesus looked like an expression of love but was indeed a display of counterfeit love.
Counterfeit love is any expression of love borne out of selfishness and not sacrifice. It is manipulative and fraudulent. The love displayed by the old prophet in 1 Kings 13 to the man of God out of Judah to come and dine with him was manipulative. Also, Delilah’s expression of love and care for Samson was all counterfeit love. This kind of love is intended to deceive. Counterfeit love is sometimes displayed out of envy and pride.
There is no force on earth greater than genuine love but counterfeit love is dangerous. Any favour received against your faith in Christ is demonstration of counterfeit love extended by the benefactor. Every extension of love from agents of darkness is directly receiving counterfeit love. The devil has no free gift but operates a primitive trade by barter system.
The kindness received from a sinner friend (male or female) is also a manifestation of counterfeit love. God is a giver of good and perfect gifts. Receiving gifts from the power house of darkness is nothing but counterfeit love. Any act of kindness that devalues your faith in Christ is counterfeit love. All forms of counterfeit love makes one candidate of damnation. Not every gift is good and perfect. We are to watch and pray to ensure we do not obtain help from Egypt.
Pretending to love the news of the Messiah born in Bethlehem (Matthew 2:8), king Herod told the wise men to return and give him a feedback on where The Messiah was born that he may come and worship Him. It was counterfeit love at work! It is cryptic in nature. We shall not fall victims of such, in Jesus’ name.

MORNING
- Tentacles of fake love in my life, dry up by fire, in the name of Jesus.
- Gift of darkness presented as gold to me, catch fire, in the name of Jesus.
- I bind and paralyse every unfriendly friend assigned against me, in the name of Jesus.
EVENING - Friendly witchcraft power, be rendered powerless, in the name of Jesus.
- I refuse to be enticed by any bait of the enemy, in the name of Jesus.
- I shall not be a victim of counterfeit love, in the name of Jesus.
- Agape love, dominate my entire life, in the name of Jesus.
