FIRE SCRIPTURE: Numbers 23:18-24
MEMORY VERSE: “And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.” – Genesis 12:3
The MESSAGE:
Righteousness is a powerful force for the lifting of the saints in light. Jesus was a righteous man; hence, he was unstoppable. Christians must be on their guard always because the devil, their unrelenting enemy walks about like a lion seeking whom to devour. The devil and his vast army are always scheming and working against the children of God. Their agenda are to steal, to kill and to destroy. This is the truth, whether you know and believe it or not. Our invisible foes are wickedly wicked and unrelenting. We cannot afford to lose our guard. We must be always righteous to keep heaven always defending us and frustrating the enemy and his cohorts. Righteousness is a weapon for us.

In Numbers 22-24, the Bible highlights the story of Balak the son of Zippor. Moab was sore afraid of the Israelites, having heard about how their God subdued and destroyed heathen kings and neighboring nations. Balak offered Balaam the son of Beor a lot of money and told Balaam to put a curse on the children of Israel, so as to stop their progress. Any power cursing you shall die suddenly, in the name of Jesus. Any power that is plotting to stop your progress shall be disgraced, in the name of Jesus. Balaam was known for his power of divination. Balak said, “I know that whom you bless is blessed and whom you curse is cursed.” The elders of Moab and the elders of Midian took the reward of divination with them. Any force prophet hired to curse you shall somersault and die, in the name of Jesus.
God spoke to Balaam after the elders had presented their request. He warned Balaam not to go with them nor curse the children of Israel because they were blessed people. Yet the spirits of covetousness and disobedience made Balaam to go with them. Balak had told Balaam, “I will promote you to honour and do for you whatever you ask of me. Just curse them so that I overcome them.” Afterwards, even when God’s angels kept standing in Balaam’s way, he did not know. Only his donkey could see the angel of the Lord. Indeed gift can blind the eyes. That angel later told Balaam to go with them but should speak only what God told him. In Numbers 23:18-24 (our Fire Scripture), Balaam stood by the altar of burnt offering and opened his mouth to curse but made him to bless the children of Israel profusely. This happened at different times. He told Balak and the elders, “I have received commandment to bless: and he hath blessed; and I cannot reverse it. He hath not beheld iniquity in Jacob, neither hath he seen perverseness in Israel: the LORD his God is with him, and the shout of a king is among them.”
Beloved, make righteousness your weapon. Life is a battlefield. The children of Israel did not know the evil the enemy was planning and doing against them. God frustrated the counsel of their enemy because there was neither iniquity nor perverseness in them. They had a right standing with God. Heaven therefore, did not allow evil to befall them. Causeless curse could not locate them. God turned the curses the enemy planned for them to blessings. These same wonderful things and more are what God will do for you if you steer clear of iniquity and perverseness. Balaam further declared God’s counsel concerning the children of Israel when he said, “Surely, there is no enchantment against Jacob, neither is there any divination against Israel: according to this time it shall be said of Jacob and of Israel, What hath God wrought!”
Heaven will defend and fight for every man and woman, family, church and nation that has a right standing with God. Say no to iniquity, say no to perverseness. Righteousness guarantees your divine covering and puts protective hedge around you. It earns you God’s blessings and makes those who curse you carry the load of their curses while they see you prosper and progress more and more daily. Beloved, righteousness exalts individuals and nations. Sin brings reproach. Go for righteousness.

MORNING
1 I am for righteousness forever, in the name of Jesus.
2 Iniquity and perverseness shall not be found in my camp, in the name of Jesus.
3 Any false prophet hired to curse me, die, in the name of Jesus.

4 O God, arise and frustrate the counsel of my enemies, in the name of Jesus.
5 Curses issued against me and my family, O God arise and turn them to blessings, in the name of Jesus.
6 I overcome enchantment and divination by the power in the blood of Jesus, in the name of Jesus.
7 Owners of evil load in my life, carry your load by fire, in the name of Jesus.
