TOPIC: The Ministry Of Angels (I) (Mountain Of Fire and Miracle Ministries, MFM Daily Devotional 10 February 2021)
BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: Exodus 33-35
FIRE SCRIPTURE: Daniel 6:15-23 (KJV)
15 Then these men assembled unto the king, and said unto the king, Know, O king, that the law of the Medes and Persians is, That no decree nor statute which the king establisheth may be changed.
16 Then the king commanded, and they brought Daniel, and cast him into the den of lions. Now the king spake and said unto Daniel, Thy God whom thou servest continually, he will deliver thee.
17 And a stone was brought, and laid upon the mouth of the den; and the king sealed it with his own signet, and with the signet of his lords; that the purpose might not be changed concerning Daniel.
18 Then the king went to his palace, and passed the night fasting: neither were instruments of musick brought before him: and his sleep went from him.
19 Then the king arose very early in the morning, and went in haste unto the den of lions.
20 And when he came to the den, he cried with a lamentable voice unto Daniel: and the king spake and said to Daniel, O Daniel, servant of the living God, is thy God, whom thou servest continually, able to deliver thee from the lions?
21 Then said Daniel unto the king, O king, live for ever.
22 My God hath sent his angel, and hath shut the lions’ mouths, that they have not hurt me: forasmuch as before him innocency was found in me; and also before thee, O king, have I done no hurt.
23 Then was the king exceeding glad for him, and commanded that they should take Daniel up out of the den. So Daniel was taken up out of the den, and no manner of hurt was found upon him, because he believed in his God.

The MESSAGE:
Believers are yet to fully tap the innumerable blessings that God has made available to them through the ministry of angels. This is due largely to ignorance about who angels are and the significant roles they are assigned to play in the lives and destinies of truly born again children of God and saints of salvation.

Angels are invisible servants and warriors. The word “angel” occurs 250 times in the Bible. Psalm 103:20-21 reveals the fivefold ministry of angels. It says, “Bless the LORD, ye his angels, that excel in strength, that do his commandments, hearkening unto the voice of his word. Bless ye the LORD, all ye his hosts; ye ministers of his, that do his pleasure.” Angels worship God continually; they have supernatural strength. An angel rolled away the stone at the tomb of Jesus. Also, it was just an angel that killed 185,000 soldiers in the Assyrian army and jolted Sennacherib to his marrows. Angels do the commandment of God and carry out His pleasure and will to the letter. They are hundred percent obedient to God. Angels respond to God’s word and bring it to fulfillment. They know that God and His word are inseparable; so they work swiftly to bring God’s word to manifestation.
Angels’ support and intervention were undeniable in the lives and ministries of Bible heroes like Moses, Elijah, Daniel and Isaiah. Angels played prominent roles in the life and ministry of Jesus Christ, our Royal Master. They featured in His birth, His forty-day fast, His agony on the night of His betrayal, His Resurrection, His Ascension, and His Second Coming. The Apostles of Jesus also availed themselves of the ministry of angels. Believers today ought to enlist the help and services of these invisible ministering spirits. The failure of many believers to do so has amounted to unwarranted deprivation and avoidable pain. Thus, angels are as relevant to our lives and ministries today as they were in the Bible days.
How can you get angels to go on assignment for you or minister for you, the inheritor of salvation?
First, you must be a born again child of God to enjoy this special privilege. You must live a life of holiness and purity, within and without. You must be a lover of God’s word and live by it and speak it always. Angels hearken unto God’s word! You must live in complete, prompt and unquestioning obedience to God. You must be a prayer addict and a lover of praise and worship. On many occasions in the Bible, the prayer of saints as well as the other foregoing triggers have provoked the intervention of angels. You are not designed to be lonely, stranded, clueless or helpless. Call on the Father to send His angels to help you. Better still, give commands and send angels on assignment concerning specific needs and areas of your life that require divine intervention. With faith in your heart, you will see the glory of God.
PRAYER POINTS:
MORNING
- Angels of the Living God, arise and bless me today, in the name of Jesus.
- Father, send Your angel to roll away every stone assigned to block me, in the name of Jesus.
- Father, send Your angel to remove any filthy garment from me and replace it with the garment of Your glory, in the name of Jesus.
EVENING
- Angels of the Living God, be my guards, day and night, in the name of Jesus.
- Angels of good news, deliver glad tidings of great joy to me today, in the name of Jesus.
- Any evil thing assigned to push my angels of blessing away from me, scatter now, in the name of Jesus.
- Angels of God, arise, bring God’s word of favour and blessings to fulfillment in my life today, in the name of Jesus.
