TOPIC – Pray For Your Country (Mountain Of Fire and Miracle Ministries, MFM Devotional 1 October 2026)
BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: Jeremiah 1, Jeremiah 2, John 9, John 10.
FIRE SCRIPTURE: Psalm 122:1-9 (KJV)
1 I was glad when they said unto me, Let us go into the house of the Lord.
2 Our feet shall stand within thy gates, O Jerusalem.
3 Jerusalem is builded as a city that is compact together:
4 Whither the tribes go up, the tribes of the Lord, unto the testimony of Israel, to give thanks unto the name of the Lord.
5 For there are set thrones of judgment, the thrones of the house of David.
6 Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: they shall prosper that love thee.
7 Peace be within thy walls, and prosperity within thy palaces.
8 For my brethren and companions’ sakes, I will now say, Peace be within thee.
9 Because of the house of the Lord our God I will seek thy good.
MEMORY VERSE: By the blessing of the upright the city is exalted: but it is overthrown by the mouth of the wicked. – Proverbs 11:11 (KJV)
MOTIVATIONAL QUOTES: Praying for your nation is a means of realignment with divine purpose.
PRAISE AND WORSHIP: Take praise and worship songs as led by the Holy Spirit.
PROPHETIC WORD FOR TODAY: I decree that your nation shall continue to experience God’s favour, in the Name of Jesus.
MFM Devotional For Today 2026 MESSAGE:
the inhabitants thereof for His purpose and glory. All the glorious plans of God for every nation can only become a reality as the nations and her citizens submit to the will of God and exalt righteous living above vicious existence. That is the reason why the Scripture says, “Righteousness exalts a nation but sin is a reproach to any people” (Proverbs 14:34),
However, the devil has been instigating the nations of the world against the plan, the purpose and the will of God for them, thereby derailing divine agenda for them and also setting them up for divine punishment. The judgement of God came upon Sodom and Gomorrah (Genesis 19:24-25). Several other nations and even Israel were judged by God because of their wickedness and iniquitous living. God’s judgement was also declared upon Bethsaida, Chorazin, and Capernaum because of their stiff-neckedness (Matthew 11:20-24). Another sad reality is the fact that there are dark spiritual princes instituted as commanders and evil influencers over nations like the Prince of Persia in Daniel chapter ten. All these forces combine to truncate the beautiful plans of God for nations, bringing them into bondage, confusion, systemic failure, poverty, political and socio-economic crises of different degrees, famine, wars and other critical conditions.
It is because of all these wicked attacks that God counsels His people to always pray for the peace of their nation as we have read in today’s Fire Scripture. You too must pray for the peace and prosperity of your nation. Pray for political stability and economic growth. Pray for all the leaders that God will give them the wisdom and courage to always follow the right path. Ask God to heal your nation and restore her glory. Pray that the will of God be established over every sector of your nation and over every household. And pray that the gospel of Jesus Christ will prevail over your nation.
PRAYER POINTS:
