TOPIC – Channels Of Healing: The Communion (Mountain Of Fire and Miracle Ministries, MFM Devotional 14 July 2026)

26 And as they were eating, Jesus took bread, and blessed it, and brake it, and gave it to the disciples, and said, Take, eat; this is my body.
27 And he took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, Drink ye all of it;
28 For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.
29 But I say unto you, I will not drink henceforth of this fruit of the vine, until that day when I drink it new with you in my Father’s kingdom.

MFM Devotional For Today 2026 MESSAGE:
The Holy communion is a symbolic act instituted by Jesus Himself at the Lord’s supper. The purpose of partaking in the Holy communion is to symbolise oneness with Christ.
The communion is made up of bread and wine. The bread is symbolic of Jesus Christ’s body which was broken for the sins of mankind while the wine is symbolic of the blood of Jesus. Many times, we lay emphasis on the blood of Jesus, which is a good thing. However, we should also pay attention to the body of Jesus which is eaten at the communion. His body was bruised and broken so that yours would no longer have to be bruised and broken. Isaiah 53:5 assures us that we are healed through the stripes of Jesus. Each of those stripes of the whip on the back of Jesus served to take away sickness and its power. “The chastisement of our peace” means the punishment that would make us well; it was borne by Him. The verse concludes with, ” … with His stripes we are healed.” The wounds that were inflicted on Jesus’ body obtained healing for us. 1 Peter 2:24 also confirms this. This means that by reason of our oneness with Christ which we affirm through partaking in the Holy communion, sickness has no more right over our bodies.

Beloved, it is however important to note that anyone who is living in sin cannot and should not partake in the Holy communion. You need to be in right standing with God before you participate in the Holy communion else you eat your way into destruction (1 Corinthians 11:29-30). Wrongly partaking in the Holy communion can have the opposite effect, leading to sickness and death.
To access healing through the Holy communion, you need to give your life to Christ. Ensure you are standing in righteousness. Then, you can attend a church communion service or administer the communion by yourself. You can use any snack and any drink to symbolise the body and blood of Christ. The most important thing is to understand the significance of what you are consuming. Your healing is permanent, in Jesus’ Name.
PRAYER POINTS:
MORNING
- Lord Jesus, I give my heart to You; be my Lord, in the Name of Jesus.
- Agenda of destruction against my body, be destroyed, in the Name of Jesus.
- I eat the body of Jesus and I drink His blood, in the Name of Jesus.
EVENING
- I refuse to partake of the Holy communion unworthily, in the Name of Jesus.
- Because Jesus has paid the price, I declare that I am healed, in the Name of Jesus.
- Because Jesus’ body was afflicted, my body would no longer be afflicted with sickness, in the Name of Jesus.
- I walk in the fullness of all that Jesus obtained for me on the cross, in the Name of Jesus.
