TOPIC: The Way Of Truth (II) (Mountain Of Fire and Miracle Ministries, MFM Devotional 16 December 2023)

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: Micah 5, Micah 6, 2 Peter 2, 2 Peter 3

FIRE SCRIPTURE: John 4:7-24 (KJV)

7 There cometh a woman of Samaria to draw water: Jesus saith unto her, Give me to drink.

8 (For his disciples were gone away unto the city to buy meat.)

9 Then saith the woman of Samaria unto him, How is it that thou, being a Jew, askest drink of me, which am a woman of Samaria? for the Jews have no dealings with the Samaritans.

10 Jesus answered and said unto her, If thou knewest the gift of God, and who it is that saith to thee, Give me to drink; thou wouldest have asked of him, and he would have given thee living water.

11 The woman saith unto him, Sir, thou hast nothing to draw with, and the well is deep: from whence then hast thou that living water?

12 Art thou greater than our father Jacob, which gave us the well, and drank thereof himself, and his children, and his cattle?

13 Jesus answered and said unto her, Whosoever drinketh of this water shall thirst again:

14 But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.

15 The woman saith unto him, Sir, give me this water, that I thirst not, neither come hither to draw.

16 Jesus saith unto her, Go, call thy husband, and come hither.

17 The woman answered and said, I have no husband. Jesus said unto her, Thou hast well said, I have no husband:

18 For thou hast had five husbands; and he whom thou now hast is not thy husband: in that saidst thou truly.

19 The woman saith unto him, Sir, I perceive that thou art a prophet.

20 Our fathers worshipped in this mountain; and ye say, that in Jerusalem is the place where men ought to worship.

21 Jesus saith unto her, Woman, believe me, the hour cometh, when ye shall neither in this mountain, nor yet at Jerusalem, worship the Father.

22 Ye worship ye know not what: we know what we worship: for salvation is of the Jews.

23 But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.

24 God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.

MFM Devotional For Today 2023 MESSAGE:

God seeks those who will worship Him in Spirit and in truth (John 4:24). The truth is essential for our successful walk with God, our thriving in His Kingdom and for achieving our desire to spend eternity in heaven. The truth brings knowledge and illumination. To worship God in spirit and in truth requires that your worship is genuinely and sincerely from the heart. It also requires that you love Him, follow Him and obey Him. Your worship must be based on the truth of His word and not on false doctrine or erroneous teachings of the Bible. Are you worshipping God in spirit and in truth? Truth will make your worship and service to God acceptable to Him.

In John 14:6, Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh to the Father, but by me. When we spend quality time in God’s word and in prayer, the truth is revealed to us. The more of God’s truth we receive into our lives, the more of His power and light we are able to manifest. In John 16:13, Jesus assured believers that when the Spirit would guide them into all truth: for He shall not speak of Himself; but whatsoever He shall hear, that shall He speak: and He will show them things to come.” Let the Holy Spirit guide you in the way of truth!

The Psalmist said, “I have chosen the way of truth: thy judgments have I laid before me” (Psalm 119:30). Beloved, have you also chosen the way of truth? Have you chosen God’s word as your standard for living? If your answers are in the affirmative, it means that you have turned away from the life of sin, lying and deception. It also means that you do to others what you would love them to do to you and that you love God with all your heart, strength and mind and you love your neighbour as yourself. The Bible assures that those who choose the way of truth shall not be moved.

I encourage you to make the way of truth your daily choice. Commit yourself to God, His word and way of life, and set your heart on doing His will.
