48 I am that bread of life.
49 Your fathers did eat manna in the wilderness, and are dead.
50 This is the bread which cometh down from heaven, that a man may eat thereof, and not die.
51 I am the living bread which came down from heaven: if any man eat of this bread, he shall live for ever: and the bread that I will give is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world.
52 The Jews therefore strove among themselves, saying, How can this man give us his flesh to eat?
53 Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in you.
54 Whoso eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day.
55 For my flesh is meat indeed, and my blood is drink indeed.
56 He that eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, dwelleth in me, and I in him.
57 As the living Father hath sent me, and I live by the Father: so he that eateth me, even he shall live by me.
58 This is that bread which came down from heaven: not as your fathers did eat manna, and are dead: he that eateth of this bread shall live for ever.

MFM Devotional For Today 2023 MESSAGE:
Beloved, we are going to look at steps that every believer must take in order to grow spiritually. It is often said that first things first. Before anyone can talk about growing spiritually, he or she must first of all surrender his or her life to Jesus Christ. A Christian cannot experience genuine new birth without first making the Lord Jesus Christ his or her personal Lord and Saviour. If you do not make the choice of following Christ and putting Him first in all that you do, you will never be able to grow spiritually. So, new birth is a must for anyone who desires to know God. Romans 10:9-10 says, “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.” The conviction must be strong for you to remain steadfast. If your mind is not made up, your decision to follow the Lord will not be firm. Consequently, your spiritual growth will be impeded. You must really be determined to make a complete turnaround from the world to the Lord.

You must learn to abide in Him, and dwell in His presence every day, thereby growing deeper in Him as you seek to know Him more. In John 15:4-5, Jesus said, “Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me. I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and lin him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.” When you turn your life over to the Lord, He takes over and becomes the Commander in Chief, who must be obeyed. Are you born again? That way, your new life begins and as you continue to seek Him, you keep growing in the Lord. Have you backslided or gone cold? Jesus is ever willing with open arms to receive you back into His fold.
PRAYER POINTS:
MORNING
- Lord Jesus Christ, draw me closer to Yourself, in the name of Jesus.
- O Lord, deliver me from worldly distractions, in the name of Jesus.
- O Lord, make me a good example of a believer in Christ, in the name of Jesus.
EVENING
- O Lord, make me a kingdom builder, in the name of Jesus.
- Powers of my father’s house opposed to my spiritual growth, die, in the name of Jesus,
- My Father, subdue and disgrace my oppressors, in the name of Jesus.
- Every obstacle to my spiritual advancement, die, in the name of Jesus.
