FIRE SCRIPTURE: Ruth 1:1-7 (KJV)
1 Now it came to pass in the days when the judges ruled, that there was a famine in the land. And a certain man of Bethlehemjudah went to sojourn in the country of Moab, he, and his wife, and his two sons.
2 And the name of the man was Elimelech, and the name of his wife Naomi, and the name of his two sons Mahlon and Chilion, Ephrathites of Bethlehemjudah. And they came into the country of Moab, and continued there.
3 And Elimelech Naomi’s husband died; and she was left, and her two sons.
4 And they took them wives of the women of Moab; the name of the one was Orpah, and the name of the other Ruth: and they dwelled there about ten years.
5 And Mahlon and Chilion died also both of them; and the woman was left of her two sons and her husband.
6 Then she arose with her daughters in law, that she might return from the country of Moab: for she had heard in the country of Moab how that the Lord had visited his people in giving them bread.
7 Wherefore she went forth out of the place where she was, and her two daughters in law with her; and they went on the way to return unto the land of Judah.

MFM Devotional For Today 2023 MESSAGE:
In our Fire Scripture for today, Naomi and her family went to sojourn in the land of blood, for that is the meaning of Moab (Father’s blood). You know the story of how the family of Lot left Sodom and Gomorrah and the daughters made their father drunk to raise seed for him (Genesis 19:35-38). So Moab came from the first daughter of Lot, born to her father. That was the place Naomi’s family went to sojourn, leaving the city of peace Bethlehem-Judah. Within the space of ten years, everything they had went down the drain. Naomi lost her husband, lost her two sons and upon that, her daughters in law never had children for her sons.

Beloved, the waster is an evil taskmaster. He has no pity for anyone and when he enters into a place of joy, he will turn it into sadness. When he enters into a place of abundance, he will empty it. I pray for you that every waster of your father’s house that has vowed to bring you down shall be destroyed, in the Name of Jesus.
Dear reader of this devotional, the waster can grant visa to someone to go into a strange country and suffer and not bring anything back home. I remember the story of that sister who spoke to me from a foreign land some time ago. She had been there for fifteen years. She had no job, no husband, and she was living from hand to mouth. She was afraid to come home because there was nothing to bring home and those she left here when she was going then had all succeeded. She was not comfortable to come and meet them without anything.
Unlike Orpah who went back to Moab and we never heard of her again in the Bible, Ruth decided to go back to Bethlehem with Naomi. She identified, believed and served the God of Israel and she was delivered from the waster. Another way to be delivered from the waster is to acknowledge God for who He is and to accord Him the first place in your life.
PRAYER POINTS:
MORNING
- Blood of Jesus, purge my body, soul and spirit of plantations and deposits of the waster circulating in them, in the Name of Jesus.
- Any curse attracting the waster to my life, break, in the Name of Jesus.
- I break the grip of the waster upon my life and family, in the Name of Jesus.
EVENING
- Let the waster from the Lord waste any evil power assigned by the devil to waste me, in the Name of Jesus.
- Any waster in my dwelling place, die now, in the Name of Jesus.
- Environmental wasters, I am not your candidate, die, in the Name of Jesus.
- Wasters assigned against my harvest and staff of bread, die now, in the Name of Jesus.
