FIRE SCRIPTURE: Genesis 41:17-24 (KJV)
17 And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, In my dream, behold, I stood upon the bank of the river:
18 And, behold, there came up out of the river seven kine, fatfleshed and well favoured; and they fed in a meadow:
19 And, behold, seven other kine came up after them, poor and very ill favoured and leanfleshed, such as I never saw in all the land of Egypt for badness:
20 And the lean and the ill favoured kine did eat up the first seven fat kine:
21 And when they had eaten them up, it could not be known that they had eaten them; but they were still ill favoured, as at the beginning. So I awoke.
22 And I saw in my dream, and, behold, seven ears came up in one stalk, full and good:
23 And, behold, seven ears, withered, thin, and blasted with the east wind, sprung up after them:
24 And the thin ears devoured the seven good ears: and I told this unto the magicians; but there was none that could declare it to me.
MEMORY VERSE: They shall not be ashamed in the evil time: and in the days of famine they shall be satisfied. – Psalm 37:19 (KJV)
MOTIVATIONAL QUOTES: Those who have the El-Shaddai as their Source will not be ashamed in the time of famine.

PROPHETIC WORD FOR TODAY: Today, God will plug your life into the socket of His inexhaustible blessings, and you will be an all-seasons fruit-bearing tree, in the Name of Jesus.
MFM Devotional For Today 2026 MESSAGE:
Yesterday, we established the fact that wise and mature Christians seek to know the will of God in every matter and every situation that concerns them. The will of God guides their decisions and actions. We also noted that God’s will for you in times of famine is that you will laugh at famine. It will not plague you like other people. You will flourish in it. Are you laughing at famine? Let’s consider more of what God says about famine and you (the believer).

God’s will for you (believer) in famine is that you will be kept alive. Famine is extreme scarcity. It is characterized by severe lack of food. Hunger, malnutrition sickness and death are its concomitant effects. However, God says none of these shall be your portion. Psalm 33:18-19 affirms this, “Behold, the eye of the LORD is on them that fear him, on them that hope in his mercy; to deliver their soul from death, and to keep them alive in famine.” There may be national or global recession, believers live by faith and not by sight. God will deliver you from death. He will keep you alive and well. During famine, He will supply all your needs according to the riches of His glory in Christ Jesus.
In addition to the foregoing, God says that you (believer) will live in abundance in times of famine. This promise is from God who is ever faithful and never fails. He gave Isaac hundred-fold harvest during famine in Gerar. He still rules in the affairs of men! Psalm 37:18-19 buttresses this, “The LORD knows the days of the upright: and their inheritance shall be forever. They shall not be ashamed in the evil time: and in the days of famine they shall be satisfied.” Finally, God says that in famine, you will be rich. Proverbs 10:22 says, “The blessing of the LORD, it makes rich and adds no sorrow with it.” Beloved, do not be ignorant of the devices of the devil. Do not accept his lies. What God says about your finances, business, career, family, marriage and ministry is what counts, not what satan says. Reject every lie of the devil about recession and famine. Arise and flourish, in Jesus’ Name.
PRAYER POINTS:
MORNING
- I receive divine immunity from the scourge and destruction of famine, in the Name of Jesus.
- O God of Isaac, arise and prosper me greatly in famine, in the Name of Jesus.
- I receive grace for divine instruction and obedience at all times, in the Name of Jesus.
EVENING
- I reject every lie of the enemy concerning my finance, business and career, in the Name of Jesus.
- I receive and believe the mind of God for me in all situations, in the Name of Jesus.
- In the days of famine, I shall not lack. I shall be satisfied, in the Name of Jesus.
- Recession or no recession, I declare that God is my sufficiency forever, in the Name of Jesus.
