20 And Miriam the prophetess, the sister of Aaron, took a timbrel in her hand; and all the women went out after her with timbrels and with dances.

21 And Miriam answered them, Sing ye to the Lord, for he hath triumphed gloriously; the horse and his rider hath he thrown into the sea.

MOTIVATIONAL QUOTES:

MFM Devotional For Today 2023 MESSAGE:

Miriam was a supportive woman. Once she knew the plan of God for her brothers, she was following suit with them. She supported her brother’s vision. As her brother was mentoring all the people, she was also mentoring the women. She was at his beck and call. Whatever Moses did- singing or ministering, she also did with the women in the congregation. She was somewhere working for God. It is so laughable how some believers will never move an inch until they are made the overall leader. It shouldn’t be. Everyone has got a role in the body of Christ. Identify yours and do it well.

Miriam used her gifts for God. She could sing and was also a prophetess. She did not hide these precious gifts of God like the unprofitable servant who buried his talent. She engaged her gift for the edification of the congregation. She didn’t have to be a church founder or leader to serve God. You do not have to be given five talents to do something. With just that one talent, that one rod in your hand, that little jar of oil, those few loaves of bread and little fishes, Beloved, you can make things happen in your generation. In your own little corner, let your impact be felt. Do not just sit and warm the chairs in church. Stop hiding and do something.

The lyrics of the first, second and last stanzas of an ancient hymn reads thus:

  1. Hark, the voice of Jesus crying, “Who will go and work today? Fields are ripe and harvests waiting; who will bear the sheaves away?” Loud and long the Master calleth; rich reward He offers thee. Who will answer, gladly saying, “Here am I, send me, send me”?
  2. If you cannot speak like angels, if you cannot preach like Paul, you can tell the love of Jesus, you can say He died for all. If you cannot rouse the wicked with the judgment’s dread alarms, you can lead the little children to the Saviour’s waiting arms.
  3. Let none hear you idly saying, “There is nothing I can do,” while the multitudes are dying, and the Master calls for you. Take the task He gives you gladly, let His work your pleasure be; answer quickly when He calleth, “Here am I, send me, send me!”

PRAYER POINTS:

MORNING

  1. Divine investments in me shall not be wasted, in the Name of Jesus.
  2. My buried talents, be exhumed, in the Name of Jesus.
  3. My Moses’ rod, receive the power to do great exploits, in the Name of Jesus.

EVENING

  1. I shall not frustrate the grace of God in my life, in the Name of Jesus.
  2. My life shall profit God and humanity, in the Name of Jesus.
  3. I shall not come to this world in vain, in the Name of Jesus.
  4. Divine deposits shall settle in my life, in the Name of Jesus.
