FIRE SCRIPTURE: Matthew 6:25-34 (KJV)
25 Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment?
26 Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they?
27 Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature?
28 And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin:
29 And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.
30 Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith?
31 Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?
32 (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.
33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
34 Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.

MFM Devotional For Today 2023 MESSAGE:
Our fire scripture for today, Matthew 6:25-34, admonishes us not to be anxious. The passage is full of faith-building and Christ-centered truths that will bless our lives as we apply them. Let us examine some of these truths:
First, God commands you, “Do not be anxious.” Worry is a killer. Many people are victims of stress and worry-induced sicknesses today. They worry about everything imaginable and the enemy has stolen their peace and joy as a result of this. Worry is counter-productive and it is a weapon in the hands of the enemy. Therefore, you need to repent of worry.

Second, the essence of life is far more significant than material things. The Bible tells a parable of the rich fool who thought all that matter in life was his barn that was full. He died suddenly and his material possession could not save him.
God is the sufficiency of every believer. Birds do not farm or hoard food, yet they do not fret. Their needs are met by the Great Provider. He feeds them, though they are not made in His image. Beloved, since you are made in God’s image, you are more valuable to Him than all the birds in nature.
Worry will not help you to live longer. Worry will not provide that need you have. Worry grows unbelief and weakens or kills faith. It is a characteristic of unbelievers and worldly-minded people. Only courageous trust in God will produce your desired miracles. The El-Shaddai, who feeds the birds and clothes the flowers, will feed and clothe you too.
Your heavenly Father knows your needs. All your material cares will be taken care of by God when you pursue Christ and His agenda above all else. Do not double today’s trouble by being anxious. Similarly, tomorrow has its own trouble; do not add to it by worrying.
PRAYER POINTS:
MORNING
- Lord take away from me every anxiety that wants to overshadow my life, in the name of Jesus.
- Anxiety, loose your hold and grip from my spirit, soul and body for the rest of my life, in the name of Jesus.
- Anxiety about my health and finances, release me now because the Lord is my Healer and Provider, in the name of Jesus.
EVENING
- Anxiety about my marriage and future, release me now because the Lord is my nail in the sure place, in the name of Jesus.
- River of anxiety, I command you to dry up in my life, in the name of Jesus.
- Arrows of anxiety planted in my soul, come out with all your roots, in the name of Jesus.
- Wind of the Spirit of God blow away the atmosphere of anxiety around my life and family, in the name of Jesus.
