10 And he was teaching in one of the synagogues on the sabbath.
11 And, behold, there was a woman which had a spirit of infirmity eighteen years, and was bowed together, and could in no wise lift up herself.
12 And when Jesus saw her, he called her to him, and said unto her, Woman, thou art loosed from thine infirmity.
13 And he laid his hands on her: and immediately she was made straight, and glorified God.
14 And the ruler of the synagogue answered with indignation, because that Jesus had healed on the sabbath day, and said unto the people, There are six days in which men ought to work: in them therefore come and be healed, and not on the sabbath day.
15 The Lord then answered him, and said, Thou hypocrite, doth not each one of you on the sabbath loose his ox or his ass from the stall, and lead him away to watering?
16 And ought not this woman, being a daughter of Abraham, whom Satan hath bound, lo, these eighteen years, be loosed from this bond on the sabbath day?
17 And when he had said these things, all his adversaries were ashamed: and all the people rejoiced for all the glorious things that were done by him.

MFM Devotional For Today 2023 MESSAGE:
The devil has come to steal, to kill and to destroy. In order to achieve his evil mission, he binds his victims with invisible chains, fetters or manacles. It will take a higher power, like Jesus, the Stronger One, or the Holy Spirit-filled vessel to see into the spirit realm, detect the wicked work of satan and undo it.
That was what happened when Jesus encountered a woman who had bent double for years. This woman was in the temple but the priests could not do anything to change her pitiable and painful condition. She would come and go back home every now and then without encountering the power of God that saves to the uttermost. The Kingdom of God is in power. God’s vessels: Apostles, Pastors, Prophets, Evangelists and all other believers are supposed to demonstrate His power to save, heal, deliver and disciple souls. Unfortunately, this was not the case with this woman. The priests she met, day in day out in the temple, lacked the fire and power to set her free. They did not see the root cause of her problem not to talk of solving it.

Then Jesus came into the temple and the woman was there as usual. God made it her day of visitation and change of story. Jesus called her a daughter of Abraham. She was, yet the devil was afflicting her. Jesus declared that it ought not to be so. Then He commanded what ought to be to manifest: her deliverance, healing, restoration, joy, peace and celebration. He said, “Woman, thou art loosed.” Immediately, the woman who had bent double for many years stood erect and was completely restored. What happened? Jesus saw into the spirit realm detected that the woman had bent double because the devil had used a chain to bind and bend her, inflicting physical, spiritual and mental excruciating pain on her. At the command of Jesus, the chain and fetter binding her health and well-being broke and she was set free. Thank God for Jesus’ ministry of conflict against demons and deliverance from bondage.
Dear reader, you can be set free now from any chain or any trouble if you believe in the same all-powerful Jesus. Pray to Him and make Him your Saviour and Lord now. Then tell Him to set you free. He will!

- O Lord, give me a yoke-breaking encounter today, in the name of Jesus.
- The anointing that sets totally free, come upon my life now, in the name of Jesus.

- Problems that ought not to be in my life, I reject you, die, in the name of Jesus.
- Witchcaft-sponsored challenges, die by fire, in the name of Jesus.
- Problems assigned to pervert and destroy my destiny, your time is up, die, in the name of Jesus.
