25 Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment?
26 Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they?
27 Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature?
28 And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin:
29 And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.
30 Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith?
31 Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?
32 (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.
33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
34 Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.

MFM Devotional For Today 2023 MESSAGE:
Still on finding rest for your soul, Jesus made it expressly clear to us that we cannot help ourselves, neither resolve our problems and issues of life through worry and anxiety. He gave us vivid examples of the birds and the plants that are not as valuable in God’s eyes as we humans, yet they are daily cared for by God. How much more we that are made in God’s image.

Imagine Jesus in the boat with His disciples in the gospels. This was an example of fear and worry, though a rational one. Having Jesus on board with them was enough assurance for safety. But humans that they were, they quickly forgot that the Master storm stiller was in the boat. Faith gave in to fear! They saw danger and not safety. Today, many Christians will do the same. We lose focus of His ever present presence for a while and entertain fear. Where there’s fear, worry and anxiety are quick to manifest. If care is not taken, other mental and emotional disorders follow suit. Before long, that person becomes a victim of negative mental and emotional health which often leads to devastating consequences if not addressed on time and correctly.
Jesus arose in that boat and stilled the storm. At His word, the sea of Galilee became calm. Information has it that the sea has been calm since then till today. Unrest could be as a result of physical problems, economic or financial problems, health issues, marital distress, emotional issues, internal family crisis and more. Life itself is full of challenges, but you need to decide to live above these problems by the power of God.
Beloved, you must surrender your life to Jesus, confess and repent of your sins. Repent of them and ask God for help to trust Him more. Bring all your loads of worries to Jesus and let Him do a supernatural exchange. He will give you an easy yoke and a light burden. You will find rest for your soul by His grace and power.
PRAYER POINTS:
MORNING
- Lord Jesus, I lay my heavy burden at Your feet. Please, Help me, in the name of Jesus.
- I refuse to be a slave to my problems; my problems shall surrender to me, in the name of Jesus.
- Internal and external satanic agents assigned to weaken my faith, you are liars, release me and die, in the name of Jesus.
EVENING
- Powers seeking to mess me up, be disgraced, in the name of Jesus.
- O God, arise in Your mercy, put an end to my struggles, in the name of Jesus.
- Lord Jesus, Master storm stiller, silence every raging storm assigned against my peace of mind, in the name of Jesus.
- I defeat my defeat by the authority and power, in the name of Jesus.
