19 For when Moses had spoken every precept to all the people according to the law, he took the blood of calves and of goats, with water, and scarlet wool, and hyssop, and sprinkled both the book, and all the people,
20 Saying, This is the blood of the testament which God hath enjoined unto you.
21 Moreover he sprinkled with blood both the tabernacle, and all the vessels of the ministry.
22 And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission.
23 It was therefore necessary that the patterns of things in the heavens should be purified with these; but the heavenly things themselves with better sacrifices than these.
24 For Christ is not entered into the holy places made with hands, which are the figures of the true; but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us:
25 Nor yet that he should offer himself often, as the high priest entereth into the holy place every year with blood of others;
26 For then must he often have suffered since the foundation of the world: but now once in the end of the world hath he appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself.
27 And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:
28 So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation.

MFM Devotional For Today 2023 MESSAGE:
To remit is to cancel or forgive someone’s debt or punishment. It is to discharge or release someone from the guilt or penalty of sins. And that is what the blood of Jesus did and is still doing for humanity. The blood of Jesus is sin-remitting. It was shed to cancel our sins and the punishment we deserve. If thou, LORD, shouldest mark iniquities, O Lord, who shall stand? – Psalms 130:3. If the Lord should dish out punishment to us as our sins deserve, no flesh would live. But glory be to Jesus who discharged us by His blood and gave us clean bill of spiritual health. Hallelujah!

By birth, we all are debtors and sinners. We all have sinned and come short of God’s glory. We all have missed the mark and were taken far away from God because God is of purer eyes than to behold iniquity. Man lost fellowship with God through sin. But thanks be to Jesus who came to die and shed His precious blood for our redemption. For ages, man has sought to be reconciled with God through the shedding of animal’s blood and through many other means but to no avail. However, when Jesus came, He offered Himself as a sacrifice once and for all for our salvation and justification. Without the shedding of blood, there is no remission of sins. By His blood, we are now discharged and set free from the power of sin.
It is true that Jesus has shed His blood but we also need to appropriate and apply it for our remission and redemption. We need to plead the blood of Jesus to wash away our sins. If we do not apply it, it won’t work for us. So, we must be intentional if we want our sins remitted. Nothing can wash away our sins but the blood of Jesus.
Dearly beloved, Christ has shed His blood for us. What will you do with this precious blood? Will you let it be shed in vain by continuing in your sins? Or will you apply it to your advantage? I counsel you to come to Jesus today if you are far from Him. He is waiting for you. His blood never loses power. It can wash away even the deepest of sins. It flows to the highest mountain and goes deep down into the lowest valley to remit our sins. Come unto Him at the throne of grace and obtain mercy and redemption through His blood. Run to Him today; tomorrow might be too late.
PRAYER POINTS:
MORNING
- Blood of Jesus, wash away all my sins, in the name of Jesus.
- Blood of Jesus, remit my sins and redeem me, in the name of Jesus.
- Blood of Jesus, buy me back from wherever I have been sold to, in the name of Jesus.
EVENING
- Blood of Jesus, flush out strangers from my blood, in the name of Jesus.
- The blood of Jesus will not be shed in vain over my life, in the name of Jesus.
- Blood of Jesus, discharge and acquit me from the power of sin and death, in the name of Jesus.
- By the blood of Jesus, I obtain mercy, justification and redemption, in the name of Jesus.
