9 And Jabez was more honourable than his brethren: and his mother called his name Jabez, saying, Because I bare him with sorrow.
10 And Jabez called on the God of Israel, saying, Oh that thou wouldest bless me indeed, and enlarge my coast, and that thine hand might be with me, and that thou wouldest keep me from evil, that it may not grieve me! And God granted him that which he requested.

MFM Devotional For Today 2023 MESSAGE:
God is the ultimate rewriter of history and changer of story. He is the Great Potter with the exclusive preserve to remould and perfect any life or destiny that gets damaged or broken.
The history of Jabez was a terrible one until God, the rewriter of history, intervened in his life. From an obscure Bible character, God moved Jabez into limelight. The prayer of Jabez is being prayed by Christians all over the world today. From a man born in sorrow, lacking blessings and honour, God made him to be massively blessed, favoured and more honourable than his brethren. The rewriter of history moved him from ground zero to the top.

Jabez had inherited an evil load as well as an evil platform. His name means pain. In many parts of the world, it is believed that a name is an omen and that your name plays a role in what you will become in the future. In spite of his limitation, Jabez chose God, believed Him, prayed to Him and God changed his story for good. Our true value does not lie in other people but in God.
Jabez recognised the importance of prayer in his life. He knew that if he wanted to be successful, he would need the help of God. He knew that he could not do anything noteworthy if he only relied on himself. He prayed four profound and life-changing prayer points to the God of Israel: (1) O God of Israel, bless me indeed. (2) O God, enlarge my coast. (3) Let Your hand be with me. (4) O God, keep me from evil and so it will not cause me pain. The Bible affirms that God granted what Jabez requested.
Beloved, I encourage you to give your life to Jesus, have a genuine Father-son or Father-daughter relationship with Him and with unwavering faith, pray to Him to intervene and rewrite the history of your marriage, career, ministry, finances, destiny, etc.
PRAYER POINTS:
MORNING
- I cover my journey, story and history with the blood of Jesus, in the name of Jesus.
- You the changer of story, my life is available, change my story to glory, in the name of Jesus.
- I destroy every inherited evil load and demonic inheritance in my life with the fire of the Holy Spirit, in the name of Jesus.
EVENING
- O God, arise and do a new thing in my life and destiny, in the name of Jesus.
- I need divine visitation. O God of signs and wonders, appear in my situation, in the name of Jesus.
- My Father, visit my marriage, ministry, career and business and rewrite my history today, in the name of Jesus.
- O God, let mercy triumph over judgement in my life and change my story by fire, in the name of Jesus.
