1 Behold, the Lord’s hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear:

2 But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear.

MFM Devotional For Today 2023 MESSAGE:

Before you go to God in prayer, there is a major issue that you need to settle first. You must repent of your sins. Go to God with a clean slate. If you want Him to hear your prayers and answer them, then you must clear the way by confessing known and unknown sins in life. You should also claim the forgiveness and cleansing that He promised in 1 John 1:9,” we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all our unrighteousness.”

Dearly beloved, sin is a big issue with God. When Jesus carried the sins of the world on the cross of Calvary, God looked away from Him and Jesus cried. Matthew 27:46 says, “And about the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice saying, Eli, Eli, Lama Sabachthani? that is to say, My God, My God, why has thou forsaken me?” If sin could make God to turn His back on His only begotten Son, how much more we as humans. We must run away from sin.

Sin means success in nothing. No one can profit anything by committing sin. In today’s Fire Scripture (Isaiah 59:1-2), the Bible says that the hand of God is not short, that it cannot deliver. Spiritual shortcomings, rebellion against God (the desire to do their own things) have prevented many people from receiving God’s promised blessings

Iniquity means perversion or crooked behaviour. It speaks of being guilty of immoral and unjust acts toward God. This type of sin and wickedness in our lives puts a wall between God and us. Because of this barrier, many people can no longer experience the blessings of salvation: God’s favour, protection and answers to prayer. So, to get our prayers answered, we must be free of all manner of sins. Come unto Him today. Forsake all your sins and He will bless you.

PRAYER POINTS:

MORNING

  1. Power that eschew sin, fall upon me, in the name of Jesus.
  2. Father, help me to abide in Your presence all the days of my life, in the name of Jesus.
  3. Spirit of the living God, fall upon me and make me what You want me to be, in the name of Jesus.

EVENING

  1. Power to live a holy life without compromise, fall upon me, in the name of Jesus.
  2. My Lord and my God, raise helpers for me, in the name of Jesus.
  3. I paralyze any attempt by the devil to use me for evil example, in the name of Jesus.
  4. Father Lord, let my life, family and calling be extremely dangerous for the kingdom of darkness, in the name of Jesus.
