12 And to the angel of the church in Pergamos write; These things saith he which hath the sharp sword with two edges;

13 I know thy works, and where thou dwellest, even where Satan’s seat is: and thou holdest fast my name, and hast not denied my faith, even in those days wherein Antipas was my faithful martyr, who was slain among you, where Satan dwelleth.

14 But I have a few things against thee, because thou hast there them that hold the doctrine of Balaam, who taught Balac to cast a stumblingblock before the children of Israel, to eat things sacrificed unto idols, and to commit fornication.

15 So hast thou also them that hold the doctrine of the Nicolaitanes, which thing I hate.

16 Repent; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will fight against them with the sword of my mouth.

17 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the hidden manna, and will give him a white stone, and in the stone a new name written, which no man knoweth saving he that receiveth it.

PROPHETIC WORD FOR TODAY:
I DECLARE THAT THE POWER AND GRIP OF THE SPIRIT OF COMPROMISE OVER YOUR LIFE IS BROKEN, IN THE NAME OF JESUS.

The MESSAGE:

The third letter to the Pergamos Church was written and sent to them at the time of crisis of strange doctrines and operation of false teachers and preachers. Jesus wrote to them and praised them in one aspect. He said, “I know thy works, and where thou dwellest, even where Satan’s seat is: and thou holdest fast my name, and hast not denied my faith, even in those days wherein Antipas was my faithful martyr, who was slain among you, where Satan dwelleth” (Revelation 2:13). Jesus implied that although they are operating within the sphere seat of satan, yet they did not deny Him. We can learn from this. As children of God, we are not supposed to run from the forces of darkness. Our Father, the Almighty, does not expect us to run from battles; that is why in the book of Ephesians 6:10-18, God gave us defensive armour to be able to stand against the devil and the host of hell.

Beloved, Balaam advised Balak to befriend the Israelites and invite them to a feast. He got seductive ladies, who were scantily dressed to serve them. That was how the Israelites fell into the sin of immorality and also ate food sacrificed to idols. God became angry and He destroyed twenty four thousand of His children that day. This incident happened in Numbers 25:5 and 9.

In many churches today, there are church members who take others from the church to the house of herbalists and fortune tellers. Some even go as far as visiting satanic clerics.

Some go to strange places, thinking that God is not aware, but He sees and knows everything and everybody. Compromising spirit defeats the divine purpose for God’s people, chases away the presence of God and opens up the church to various satanic activities, which eventually brings God’s judgement if His people refuse to repent. You don’t have to continue living a double life. If you have been a compromising child of the kingdom, repent today so that the light of God can flood your life again.

Praise Worship

1. Father, in the name of Jesus, I confess all the sins and iniquities of the land, of our ancestors, of our leaders, and of the people. 11. O Lord, let the desires, plans, devices and expectations of the enemy for this country be completely frustrated, in Jesus’ name.

13. By the blood of Jesus, let all sins, ungodliness, idolatry and vices cease in the land, in the name of Jesus.
14. I break every evil covenant and dedication made upon our land, in Jesus’ name.

16. I decree the will of God for this land, whether the devil likes it or not, in the name of Jesus.

25. O Lord, give us leaders who will see their roles as a calling, instead of an opportunity to amass wealth.
26. All forms of ungodliness, be destroyed by the divine fire of burning, in Jesus’ name.
27. O Lord, let our leaders be filled with divine understanding and wisdom.
28. O Lord, let our leaders follow the counsel of God and not of man and demons.
29. O Lord, let our leaders have wisdom and knowledge of God.
30. O Lord, let our government be the kind that would obtain Your direction and leading.

45. I command every threat to the political, economic and social stability in the land to be paralysed, in the name of Jesus.
46. I frustrate every satanic external influence over our nation, in Jesus’ name.
47. I command confusion and disagreement among the sons of the bondwoman planning to cage the nation, in Jesus’ name.
48. I break any covenant between any satanic external influence and our leaders, in the name of Jesus.
49. I paralyse every spirit of wastage of economic resources in this country, in the name of Jesus.
50. Spirit of borrowing, depart completely from this country, in the name of Jesus.
51. O Lord, show Yourself mightily in the affairs of this nation.
52. Father, let the kingdom of Christ come into this nation, in Jesus’ name.
53. O Lord, do new things in our country to show Your power and greatness to the heathen.
54. Father, let the kingdom of our Lord Jesus Christ come into the heart of every person in this country, in the name of Jesus.
