TOPIC: Investing In Your Relationships (Mountain of Fire and Miracle Ministries Friday, 13 July 2018)
FIRE SCRIPTURE: Mark 12: 28-33
MEMORY VERSE: “And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment.” – Mark 12:30
The MESSAGE:
To invest involves committing energy, time and money into something for a beneficial purpose. The most common investments are the financials. But today, the Lord wants us to examine investments towards relationship. In today’s Fire Scripture, Jesus answered the question of one of the scribes by emphasising on human relationship with his maker and others.
Humans are all products of relationships. Man is a relational being. God did not create man to live in isolation. Three basic lines of relationship that we must deliberately invest in are as follows:
1. God
Here are some ways you can invest in a healthy relationship with God:
- By allowing God’s will to supercede your own will at all times.
- Having a well-balanced personal Bible study habit.
- Having a robust and spirit-controlled prayer life.
- Living a holy life without which no man can see God.
- Living a life of praise and thanksgiving unto God.
- Having a constant personal self-examination whether you are living by faith.
- Be an ambassador of Jesus wherever you find yourself.
2. With Fellow man.
- Owe no man anything, but to love one another (Romans 13:8a)
- Be patient with your fellow man.
- Forgive all men as Jesus forgave you.
- In your community and work place, live a wholesome Christian life. Be a peace maker and offer good contributions to your community and organisation.
- Be helpful to fellow believers.
- Honour your parents.
3. With Yourself
- Develop a good sense of self worth.
- Encourage yourself daily in the word of God.
- Forgive yourself of every wrong you’ve repented of.
- Starve your bad habits to death.
- Maintain a very healthy inner life.
- Get rid of fear and anxiety.
4. To the devil and its vices – James 4:7
- Resist the devil constantly.
- Constantly verbalise your faith.
- Disconnect from every ungodly association.
- Engage regularly in spiritual warfare.
MOTIVATIONAL QUOTE:
GOOD RELATIONSHIP IS TARGETED TOWARDS BRINGING OUT THE BEST IN OTHERS AND BY SO DOING THE BEST IN YOU EMERGES.
PROPHETIC WORD:
You shall no more be termed forsaken.
PRAYER POINTS:
MORNING
1. Every time table of the enemy for my life, be destroyed, in the name of Jesus.
2. Satanic rage against my peace, expire, in the name of Jesus.
3. I disconnect my life from friendly waste, in the name of Jesus.
EVENING
4. Let the divine deposits in me begin to manifest, in the name of Jesus.
5. O Lord fill my heart with love and understanding, in the name of Jesus.
6. Every waster, organised against my peace, die, in the name of Jesus.
7. In my relationship with God and man, I shall not see shame, in the name of Jesus.
