How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God? Hebrews 9:14. Read: Heb 9:11-15
The importance of blood to all living things cannot be overemphasized. Without blood there is no life. The life of all flesh depends on the blood to survive. Just as the fish cannot survive without water, also every flesh cannot survive without blood. Lev 11:17 says, the life of all flesh is in the blood. In the old testament of the Bible, all the sacrifices carried out by the priests were not without blood even to the vessels in the temple. Blood is so important to God Almighty because it’s life itself.
We can see a more unique and powerful blood in Jesus Christ that is different from the human blood. In fact, Jesus blood is a blood of all blood. The blood of Jesus did not only redeem us from destruction but also gave us all round victory. His blood tested and proven has power both in heaven and on earth. Before God gave the blood of Jesus to us to appropriate for our daily victorious living, He had tested it in heaven before. How? Revelation tells us that, when there was war in heaven between the angels and Lucifer and his falling angels, they could only overcome him by the blood of the Lamb. Another thing that makes the blood of Jesus so powerful is because, it’s sinless. Who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God. Nothing but the blood of Jesus is where your victory lies. Why not appropriate it now.
