READ: Ecclesiastes 12:1

1 Remember now thy Creator in the days of thy youth, while the evil days come not, nor the years draw nigh, when thou shalt say, I have no pleasure in them;

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: Psalms 10-12, Acts 17:16-34

MESSAGE:

Some teenagers live now as if they will remain teenagers for life. They are unserious with their studies, don’t set goals, practice social vices and don’t care about the consequences. My child, the behaviour or habits you form in your teenage years will greatly influence your adulthood. This influence can either be positive or negative depending on how you’re living now. So, live well now because you’re not getting younger, no one does. I was once a teenager but now I’m old. Some of the ideals I developed then sustain me now. Be wise in your decisions and make good use of your teenage years.

One of the best ways to make good use of your early days is to serve God. Ecclesiastes 12:1a says:

“Remember now thy Creator in the days of thy youth,”

When you serve God in your youth, you’re preparing yourself to live righteously as an adult as well.

PRAYER POINT:

Father, please help me to make choices that will not ruin my future.

HYMNS: I Can Hear My Saviour Calling

  1. I can hear my Savior calling,
I can hear my Savior calling,
I can hear my Savior calling,
“Take thy cross and follow, follow
    Me.

CHORUS
Where He leads me I will follow,
Where He leads me I will follow,
Where He leads me I will follow,
I’ll go with Him, with Him all the way.

  1. I’ll go with Him through the garden,
I’ll go with Him through the garden,
I’ll go with Him through the garden,
I’ll go with Him, with Him all the way.
  2. I’ll go with Him through the judgment,
I’ll go with Him through the judgment,
I’ll go with Him through the judgment,
I’ll go with Him, with Him all the way.
  3. He will give me grace and glory,
He will give me grace and glory,
He will give me grace and glory,
And go with me, with me all the way.
