MEMORISE: Therefore God give thee of the dew of heaven, and the fatness of the earth, and plenty of corn and wine: Genesis 27:28

READ: Malachi 3:8-12

  1. Will a man rob God? Yet ye have robbed me. But ye say, Wherein have we robbed thee? In tithes and offerings.
  2. Ye are cursed with a curse: for ye have robbed me, even this whole nation.
  3. Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.
  4. And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, and he shall not destroy the fruits of your ground; neither shall your vine cast her fruit before the time in the field, saith the LORD of hosts.
  5. And all nations shall call you blessed: for ye shall be a delightsome land, saith the LORD of hosts.

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: Jeremiah 31-32, Titus 2:1-15

MESSAGE:

When Isaac was about to transfer the generational blessing after Jacob provoked him with a mouth-watering meal, he asked God to bless him from heaven. According to Malachi 3:10 , Heaven has windows. Come to think of it, there are more windows in any house than doors. This means when God said He would open the windows of heaven to people who pay tithe, it simply shows a major set-up for generational blessings. As controversial as the subject of tithing has become, God still maintains His stand on it.

On social media, some unbelievers try to dissuade the youths from paying tithes in churches because they feel its fraud. I used to think that way too until God convinced me that I would remain in penury if I didn’t give offerings and pay my tithe. My 100% salary was not enough to meet my expenses but when I started paying a tithe of 10%, I received an exponential increase. Being a mathematician, I increased my tithe. I stopped paying only 10% a long time ago and I have no regret. You too can enjoy a window-outpouring of blessings from your tender age.

KEY POINT:

Tithing is an act of obedience to Gods word.

HYMN: When We Walk With The Lord

  1. When we walk with the Lord
    In the light of His word,
    What a glory He sheds on our way!
    While we do His good will,
    He abides with us still,
    And with all who will trust and obey.

Chorus:
Trust and obey!
For there’s no other way
To be happy in Jesus,
but to trust and obey.

  1. Not a shadow can rise,
    Not a cloud in the skies,
    But His smile quickly drives it away;
    Not a doubt nor a fear,
    Not a sigh nor a tear,
    Can abide while we trust and obey.
  2. Not a burden we bear,
    Not a sorrow we share,
    But our toil He doth richly repay;
    Not a grief nor a loss,
    Not a frown nor a cross,
    But is blest if we trust and obey.
  3. But we never can prove
    The delights of His love,
    Until all on the altar we lay,
    For the favour He shows,
    For the joy He bestows,
    Are for them who will trust and obey.
  4. Then in fellowship sweet
    We will sit at His feet,
    Or we’ll walk by His side in
    the way;
    What He says we will do,
    Where He sends we will go;
    Never fear, only trust and obey.
