MEMORISE: And over these three presidents; of whom Daniel was first: that the princes might give account unto them, and the king shall have no damage. Daniel 6:2
BIBLE READING: Daniel 6:1-4
1 It pleased Darius to set over the kingdom an hundred and twenty princes, which should be over the whole kingdom;
2 And over these three presidents; of whom Daniel was first: that the princes might give accounts unto them, and the king should have no damage.
3 Then this Daniel was preferred above the presidents and princes, because an excellent spirit was in him; and the king thought to set him over the whole realm.
4 Then the presidents and princes sought to find occasion against Daniel concerning the kingdom; but they could find none occasion nor fault; forasmuch as he was faithful, neither was there any error or fault found in him.
MESSAGE:
Daniel was a slave from Judah who rose to the position of being a president in Babylon due to his right attitude towards God, humans, and the things committed into his hands. In Daniel 1:8, he respectfully rejected the king’s delicacy and requested just bread, vegetables, and water. After ten days, he looked so much better than his co-captives. He didn’t collect the meals and trash them like some teenagers might have done secretly.

If you waste resources such as food, water, materials, time, energy, old clothes, et cetera, you are not a good ambassador of Christ. To show a proper example of how to handle remnants, Jesus commanded the disciples in Matthew 14:13-21 to gather the remnants from the five loaves of bread and two fishes shared to the multitude. Another example which shows that God detests wastefulness can be found in the Parable of the Talents (Matthew 25:14-29). The master called the servant who buried the talent wicked and said, “Thou oughtest therefore to have put my money to the exchangers… ” The money would have yielded profit. My dear child, don’t be wasteful.

HYMN 43: LEAD US HEAVENLY FATHER, LEAD US
1 Lead Us, Heavenly Father, Lead Us
O’er The World’s Tempestuous Sea;
Guard Us, Guide Us, Keep Us, Feed Us,
For We Have No Help But Thee,
Yet Possessing Every Blessing
If Our God Our Father Be.
2 Saviour, Breathe Forgiveness O’er Us;
All Our Weakness Thou Dost Know;
Thou Didst Tread This Earth Before Us,
Thou Didst Feel lts Keenest Woe;
Lone And Dreary, Faint And Weary,
Through The Desert Thou Didst Go.
3 Spirit Of Our God, Descending,
Fill Our Hearts With Heavenly Joy,
Love With Every Passion Blending,
Pleasure That Can Never Cloy;
Thus Provided, Pardoned, Guided,
Nothing Can Our Peace Destroy.
