MESSAGE:
Yesterday, I emphasised the need to be resilient and to work hard to achieve your goals in accordance with God’s principles. Today, I’ll discuss entrepreneurship as a way to hustle honourably. Many business owners started their businesses by identifying their personal needs. Once they found a creative way to meet their needs, they decided to replicate the experience for others to benefit from. Some others discovered what people badly needed and found ways to meet them.
Beloved, you can start your entrepreneurship journey by identifying your talents or interests, such as selling handmade items, tutoring, creating godly digital content, among many others.
Thereafter, seek creative ways to use them to make money. Additionally, I encourage you to get a business mentor. Start by studying successful business people in our society, pray about which one of them to reach out to, and reach out to them.
My dear child, don’t be afraid to start small on your entrepreneurial journey: learn from your mistakes and remain diligent. Learn how to manage your resources wisely and prioritise integrity in every transaction you make. When you start making money, ensure that you give a tithe of your earnings to God and also put aside a percentage as savings. I pray that the Almighty God will guide you to identify your talents and use them to create godly wealth, in Jesus’ name.
KEY POINT:
Identify your talents, refine them, and use them to make money in a way that honours God.
BIBLE IN ONE YEAR:
Mark 15:27-47; Deuteronomy 28
HYMN 67– I’m Pressing On The Upward Way
1 l’m pressing on the upward way,
New heights I’m gaining everyday;
Still praying as I onward bound
“Lord, plant my feet on higher
ground.”
Chorus:
Lord, lift me up and let me stand,
By faith, on Heaven’s table-land;
Where love, and joy, and light
abound,
Lord, plant my feet on higher
ground.
2 My heart has no desire to stay
Where doubts arise, and fears
dismay;
Though some may dwell where
these abound,
My constant aim is higher ground.
3 Beyond the mist I fain would rise,
To rest beneath unclouded skies,
Above earth’s turmoil peace is found
By those who dwell on higher ground.
4 I long to scale the utmost height,
Though rough the way, and hard the fight,
My song, while climbing, shall resound
Lord, lead me on to higher ground.
5 Lord, lead me up the mountain side
I dare not climb without my Guide;
And, heaven gained, I’ll gaze around,
With grateful heart from higher ground.
