MESSAGE:

In today’s world, technology has become a powerful tool in spreading the gospel and advancing God’s kingdom. The internet is beneficial, especially when it comes to providing an online worship experience. We must be careful, however, not to downplay the importance of physically attending church services and fellowshipping with other believers in person. Many young people today prefer to stay at home and connect to services online; however, this often comes with distractions that can diminish the quality of their worship experience.

The Bible clearly instructs us not to forsake the gathering of the saints. Attending church programmes in person allows you to immerse yourself in an atmosphere of Worship where God’s presence fills you. The presence of God is invaluable; His presence empowers and ignites. Online services should only be an option when circumstances preventing you from attending physically are beyond your control. Jesus said in Matthew 18:20, “For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them.” You must prioritise physical fellowship. Attend services in person, and only turn to online services whenever you Cannot.

KEY POINT:
Always prioritise attending church services physically.

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR:
Luke 4:33-44, Joshua 14-15

HYMN 74: Revive Thy Work, O Lord

1 Revive Thy work, O Lord,
Thy mighty arm make bare;
speak with the voice that wakes the dead,
and make Thy people hear.

Refrain:
Revive Thy work, 0 Lord,
while here to Thee we bow;
descend, O gracious Lord, descend!
O come and bless us now.

2 Revive Thy work, O Lord,
now let us thirst for Thee;
and hung’ring for the bread of life
may all our spirits be.

3 Revive Thy work, O Lord,
exalt Thy precious name;
and, by the Holy Ghost, our love
for Thee and Thine inflame.

4 Revive Thy work, O Lord,
give pow’r unto Thy word;
grant that Thy blessed gospel may
in living faith be heard.

5 Revive Thy work, 0 Lord,
and give refreshing show’rs;
the glory shall be all Thine own,
the blessing, Lord, be ours.
