- And they said unto him, Where is Sarah thy wife? And he said, Behold, in the tent.
- And he said, I will certainly return unto thee according to the time of life; and, lo, Sarah thy wife shall have a son. And Sarah heard it in the tent door, which was behind him.
- Now Abraham and Sarah were old and well stricken in age; and it ceased to be with Sarah after the manner of women.
- Therefore Sarah laughed within herself, saying, After I am waxed old shall I have pleasure, my lord being old also?
- And the LORD said unto Abraham, Wherefore did Sarah laugh, saying, Shall I of a surety bear a child, which am old?
- Is any thing too hard for the LORD? At the time appointed I will return unto thee, according to the time of life, and Sarah shall have a son.
MESSAGE:
In today’s Bible reading, we see that Abraham and Sarah were past childbearing age when God visited them in form of three humans. While they were entertaining Him, He told Abraham that Sarah would have a baby in nine months. The Bible says that Sarah laughed within her. I would have also laughed because, biologically, a 90- year-old woman cannot bear a child. However, God was true to His word, and nine months later, Sarah laughed again because she became a mother. The essence of this illustration is to emphasize that there is nothing impossible for my God to do.
My dear child, I have good news for you today: if you have been struggling with your academics or having a rough year generally, God will turn your situation around. He will also turn any negative situation that might exist in your family around for good. Go ahead now and laugh; put the devil to shame.
KEY POINT: In the next 15 minutes, ask God what you want Him to do for you.
