MASSAGE:

One of the bad habits that can not only ruin your today but also you tomorrow is procrastination. The nursery rhymes says: “Tick says the clock, tick, tick, what you have to do, do quick. Anyone who slacks in doing what he or she has to do is lazy and God hates laziness. He will never bless a lazy person.

There are different ways to curb procrastination. First, find out why you find it easy to procrastinate. Do you dislike the chore or are you just lazy? If you dislike any chore, find a way to make it interesting. You could listen to gospel music while you do it and think of an easier way to achieve the task. If you are lazy, you need to break free from that mindset.

Understand that laziness is a sin and lazy people never go far in life. Thereafter, create a strict timetable for yourself. Have a journal where you plan your day from the time that you wake until bedtime and stick to it. Most importantly, ask the Holy Spirit for help. He is ever willing to help you.

PRAYER POINT:

Holy Spirit, please help me to do what I ought to do at the right time.

HYMN: Stand Up, Stand Up For Jesus

  1. Stand up! stand up for Jesus
    Ye soldiers of the cross!
    Lift high His royal banner;
    It must not suffer loss.
    From vict’ry unto vict’ry
    His army shall He lead,
    Till every foe is vanquished,
    And Christ is Lord indeed.
  2. Stand up! stand up for Jesus,
    the trumpet call obey;
    Forth to the mighty conflict,
    In this His glorious day;
    Ye that are men now serve Him
    against unnumbered foes;
    let courage rise with danger,
    and strength to strength oppose.
  3. Stand up! stand up for Jesus,
    stand in his strength alone;
    The arm of flesh will fail you,
    Ye dare not trust your own:
    put on the gospel armour,
    And watching unto prayer;
    where duty calls, or danger,
    be never wanting there.
  4. Stand up! stand up for Jesus,
    The strife will not be long;
    this day the noise of battle,
    the next the victor’s song:
    to him that overcometh
    A crown of life shall be;
    He with the King of glory
    shall reign eternally.
