Topic: E-Mouth (Open Heaven for Teens 27 January 2021)

Memorise: He who guards his mouth and his tongue keeps himself from calamity. Proverbs 21:23

Read: James 1:26

26 If anyone considers himself religious and yet does not keep a tight rein on his tongue, he deceives himself and his religion is worthless.

Bible In One Year: Exodus 11-12; Matthew 18:21-35

MESSAGE:

Do you know your mouth is a nuclear weapon? It is, and should be handled with utmost care. Beyond your physical mouth however, you also have your e-mouth. A lot of destinies have been destroyed through both the physical and the e-mouth. Your e-mouth is the tool with which you talk on the internet or social media platforms. Some people have been kidnapped through the sensitive information divulged on social media. Many have also lost great opportunities as a result of what they put up on social media platforms in time past. Do you know that the devil does not know everything about you? This is why when he wants to bring a fellow down, he will find out his secret.

If you don’t talk, your secret will be safe. Learn from Samson. Several attempts to stop him from fulfilling his purpose before he met Delilah failed. However, after revealing his secret to Delilah, he became a prey to the Philistines. If you don’t want to be a prey, keep your mouth shut.

Key Point:

To keep your soul from trouble, know when to keep quiet.

Hymn 20: When We Walk With The Lord

  1. 1 we walk with the Lord
    In the light of His Word,
    What a glory He sheds on our way!
    While we do His good will,
    He abides with us still,
    And with all who will trust and obey.

Refrain:
Trust and obey,
For there’s no other way
To be happy in Jesus,
But to trust and obey.

  1. Not a shadow can rise,
    Not a cloud in the skies,
    But His smile quickly drives it away;
    Not a doubt or a fear,
    Not a sigh or a tear,
    Can abide while we trust and obey.
  2. Not a burden we bear,
    Not a sorrow we share,
    But our toil He doth richly repay;
    Not a grief or a loss,
    Not a frown or a cross,
    But is blessed if we trust and obey.
  3. But we never can prove
    The delights of His love
    Until all on the altar we lay;
    For the favor He shows,
    For the joy He bestows,
    Are for them who will trust and obey.
  4. Then in fellowship sweet
    We will sit at His feet,
    Or we’ll walk by His side in the way;
    What He says we will do,
    Where He sends we will go;
    Never fear, only trust and obey.
