MESSAGE:

The mind is a powerful house that hosts our thoughts. You can’t allow things that won’t contribute to your progress in life into your heart because they can hinder you from achieving God’s purpose. I remember when we were building the first auditorium at the Redemption Camp, many people told me it was not possible to get people who will fill up that 100 metres square space. I didn’t argue with them because I had conceived the vision of an auditorium as big as the whole of Ibadan, the largest city in West Africa. Thus, I didn’t allow their negative comments get to me. By the special grace of God, presently, we meet in a 3 by 3 kilometres space and I tell my children that God has just started with us.

Your thoughts will become your actions and this will become a habit, then grow into your character. Whatever you think about early in the morning will most likely form the direction of your day. This is why the Bible encourages that you renew your mind by studying the word of God from time to time so that when Satan or anyone brings evil thoughts your way, the word of God in your heart will counter it.

KEY POINT:

Guard your heart diligently.

HYMN 3: ALL TO JESUS I SURRENDER

  1. All to Jesus I surrender,
    All to Him I freely give;
    I will ever love and trust Him,
    In His presence daily live.

Chorus:
I surrender all,
I surrender all;
All to Thee, my blessed Saviour,
I surrender all.

  1. All to Jesus I surrender,
    Humbly at His feet I bow;
    Worldly pleasures all forsaken,
    Take me, Jesus, take me now.
  2. All to Jesus I surrender,
    Lord, I give myself to Thee;
    Fill me with Thy love and power,
    Let Thy blessing fall on me.
  3. All to Jesus I surrender,
    Now I feel the sacred flame;
    O the joy of full salvation!
    Glory, glory to His name!
