READ: Ephesians 5:15-17

15 See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise,
16 Redeeming the time, because the days are evil.
17 Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is.

MESSAGE:

The memory verse for today says that it is important to ask for wisdom from the only wise God who gives wisdom freely to whoever asks. Asking God for wisdom shows that you have realized you cannot do anything on your own without His help. In this day and age, where foolishness is expressed through various means, young people need God’s wisdom to be able to do the right things. The Bible says in Proverbs 12:15:

“The way of a fool is right in his own eyes: but he that hearkeneth unto counsel is wise.”

For you to be great in life, you need the wisdom of God that surpasses human wisdom in speech, action, intentions, and relationships. Solomon became the wisest man who ever lived when he asked for God’s wisdom, and he got additional blessings in the process. It takes humility to submit to the wisdom of God especially when divine instruction appears foolish. Thus, to receive wisdom from God, be humble and teachable.

PRAYER POINT

Father, give me your wisdom to guide me in all that i do, in Jesus ‘name.

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: Leviticus 11-13

HYMN 8 – Forth In Your Name, O Lord, I Go,

  1. Forth in your name, O Lord, I go,
    My daily labor to pursue,
You only, Lord, resolved to know
In all I think or speak or do.
  2. The task your wisdom has assigned
    Here let me cheerfully fulfill;
In all my work your presence find,
And prove your good and perfect will.
  3. You may I set at my right hand,
Whose eyes my inmost secrets view,
And labor on at your command
And offer all my work to you.
  4. Help me to bear your easy yoke
In ev’ry moment watch and pray,
And still to things eternal look
And hasten to that glorious day.
  5. Then with delight may I employ
All that your bounteous grace has given,
And run my earthly course with joy,
And closely walk with you in heaven.
