30 Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith?
31 Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?
32 (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.
33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
MESSAGE:
To serve is to perform certain services or duties to someone or a group of people. To serve God, therefore, means to perform certain duties or services for God, usually in the church. It is a show of love and appreciation to God for the salvation of your soul and the daily blessings you enjoy. Serving God is an act of obedience to His commandments that attracts more of His blessings. For God to bless you, you must make Him happy by obeying ALL His commandments.
According to our Bible text, there are many blessings attached to serving God such as all-round provision, speedy answers to prayers, divine favour, expansion in God’s kingdom, divine fulfillment, victory in battles, and success in every area of one’s life. God never owes any man. If you serve Him wholeheartedly, He will bless you in return. However, for one’s service to be acceptable, it must be done with a right heart and genuine love for God.
