MESSAGE:

It won’t hurt is one of the statements enslaving many teenagers and youths today. When the devil, society and peers want to lure you into sin, they try to convince you that there is no consequence attached, then, you begin to tread the path of experimentation that would hurt in the long run.

When a boy or girl asks you to pleasure him/her through kissing, smooching, petting or sex, you’re not to be nice to such a person; rather, you are to obey God. Some will say they can control themselves not to allow kissing to lead to sex, forgetting that they cannot outsmart the devil who has been around for thousands of years before they were born. He is the most patient creature and is never in a hurry to get his prey. He usually takes his time to plan and strategize. This is why the Bible warns in 1 Corinthians 10:12 that: “Wherefore, let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall”

Don’t be deceived my child, every act against Gods command will hurt you in the end. The smart thing to do is flee!

KEY POINT:

Don’t try to experiment with sin; just flee!

HYMN: Stand Up, Stand Up For Jesus

  1. Stand up! stand up for Jesus
    Ye soldiers of the cross!
    Lift high His royal banner;
    It must not suffer loss.
    From vict’ry unto vict’ry
    His army shall He lead,
    Till every foe is vanquished,
    And Christ is Lord indeed.
  2. Stand up! stand up for Jesus,
    the trumpet call obey;
    Forth to the mighty conflict,
    In this His glorious day;
    Ye that are men now serve Him
    against unnumbered foes;
    let courage rise with danger,
    and strength to strength oppose.
  3. Stand up! stand up for Jesus,
    stand in his strength alone;
    The arm of flesh will fail you,
    Ye dare not trust your own:
    put on the gospel armour,
    And watching unto prayer;
    where duty calls, or danger,
    be never wanting there.
  4. Stand up! stand up for Jesus,
    The strife will not be long;
    this day the noise of battle,
    the next the victor’s song:
    to him that overcometh
    A crown of life shall be;
    He with the King of glory
    shall reign eternally.
