READ: Isaiah 3:10-11

  1. Say ye to the righteous, that it shall be well with him: for they shall eat the fruit of their doings.
  2. Woe unto the wicked! it shall be ill with him: for the reward of his hands shall be given him.

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: John 16:16-33, 2 Chronicles 23-25

MESSAGE:

The importance attached to a statement depends on who is making it and since God cannot lie, then His word is forever settled (Psalms 119:89 ). Not only is God faithful to keep His promises, He also has the power to bring whatever He says to pass. Isaiah 3:10 says:
“Say ye to the righteous, that it shallBbe well with him; for they shall eat the fruit of their doings.”

The above statement can mean different things to different people. To the sick, it means he will be healed; to the poor, it means his prosperity will come. To the captive, it means freedom is here; to the one experiencing constant failure, it means success is coming.
You may want to ask how one can be so sure that all will be well. It is because God usually sends His word any time He wants to do something but the onus is on you to meet His condition, which is righteous living if you want it to be well with you. Quick question: Are you righteous?

PRAYER POINT:

Father, please help me to live righteously so that it can be well with me.

HYMN: Pass Me Not A Gentle Saviour

  1. Pass me not, O gentle Saviour,
    Hear my humble cry,
    While on others Thou art calling,
    Do not pass me by.

CHORUS
Saviour, Saviour,
Hear my humble cry;
While on others Thou art calling,
Do not pass me by.

  1. Let me at Thy throne of mercy
    Find a sweet relief;
    Kneeling there in deep contrition,
    Help my unbelief.
  2. Trusting only in Thy merit,
    Would I seek Thy face;
    Heal my wounded, broken spirit,
    Save me by Thy grace.
  3. Thou the Spring of all my comfort,
    More than life to me,
    Whom have I on earth beside Thee?
    Whom in heaven but Thee?
