TOPIC: The Pure In Heart [Open Heaven for Teens 9 January 2022]

MEMORISE: Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God. Matthew 5:8

READ: Psalms 24:3-5

3 Who shall ascend into the hill of the LORD? or who shall stand in his holy place?

4 He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully.

5 He shall receive the blessing from the LORD, and righteousness from the God of his salvation.

MESSAGE:

In the world today, man looks at the actions and outward appearance but God looks at the heart. This is why our memory verse did not stop at ‘blessed are the pure’, it went further to state ‘in heart’. Suffice to say that one can look or act pure, even though his/her heart is impure.

To be pure in heart means to be holy. It also means to have no sin because sin makes one impure. This is why the Bible says in Romans 12:1:

“I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.”

My child, time is ticking, rapture can take place at any time. Therefore, you must be pure in heart because it is the only key to getting into Heaven. However, to be pure in heart, you need to study and live by the word of God according to Psalm 119:11.

KEY POINT: If you miss Heaven, you cannot miss hell.

HYMN: Sing hymn 7
