TOPIC – Let God Validate You (Open Heaven for Teens, 9 October 2026)

MEMORISE: To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: Ecclesiastes 3:1

BIBLE READING: For do I now persuade men, or God? Or do I seek to please men? For if I still pleased men, I would not be a bondservant of Christ. – Galatians 1:10

BIBLE READING: Romans 8:38-39

38 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,

39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

MESSAGE:

Validation from others can bring a sense of acceptance to many teenagers, especially those who didn’t grow up in a loving environment. This could lead them to enter certain relationships just so that they can experience a sense of belonging. In fact, social media often makes such teenagers feel like their worth is tied to the number of likes, comments, and shares they receive. My dear child, I want to remind you that true validation comes from God, not people. King Saul was so concerned about his subjects’ validation that he disobeyed God’s instruction, and this cost him the throne. God’s love for you is unchanging, which is all that matters. He knows you intimately and calls you valuable, so always seek His approval over that of man. When you focus on God’s validation, you will be free from a constant need to impress others. Then you can interact with people without anxiety about their opinions.

Beloved, when you seek God’s validation, you will use your entire life, including your social media platforms, to glorify Him. You won’t be pressured by what is happening around you because God will be all that matters to you. Rather than seeking man’s affirmation, focus on glorifying God; this is when you will be able to do what He has called you to do.

CONFESSION:
I am deeply loved and accepted by God.

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR:
Mark 13:14-37 Deuteronomy 14-16

HYMN 4 – BE GLAD IN THE LORD AND REJOICE

1 Be glad in the Lord and rejoice,
All ye that are upright in heart;
And ye that have made him your choice,
Bid sadness and sorrow depart.
Refrain:
Rejoice, rejoice!
Be glad in the Lord and rejoice!

2 Be joyful, for He is the Lord,
On earth and in heaven supreme;
He fashions and rules by His word;
The Mighty and strong to redeem

3 What though in the conffict for right
Your enemies almost prevail,
God’s armies, just hid from your sight,
Are more than the foes which assail.

4 Though darkness surround you by day,
Your sky by the night be o’ercast,
Let nothing your spirit dismay,
But trust till the danger is past.

5 Be glad in the Lord and rejoice,
His praises proclaiming in song;
With harp, and with organ and voice
The loud hallelujahs prolong!
