Read: Galatians 5:22-23 (KJV)

Bible In One Year: Hosea 5-8, Revelation 1

MESSAGE:

For the next few days, we will be talking about the Fruit of the Spirit, and it is very important to let you know right from the beginning that it is one and only one fruit. It is, however, made up of nine different distinct parts as seen in our Bible reading for today. These nine parts are attributes that every born again child of God must genuinely possess.

According to our memory verse, to truly love is to be good and generous without incentive or hope that the favour you have shown will be returned to you. In the world today, the rule people live by is ‘give and take’, but the rule of true love is ‘give and give and give’. Our perfect example is our Heavenly Father who gave His only Son for the sins of the world even when the world rejected Him. From today, always step out of your home consciously deciding to be nice, kind, warm, encouraging, generous, patient and loving everyone you come in contact with.

Prayer Point: Sweet Holy Spirit, please fill my heart with love. Give me the grace to selflessly show love to the people around me.

Hymn 13

  1. Is your life a channel of blessing?
    Is the love of God flowing through you?
    Are you telling the lost of the Savior?
    Are you ready His service to do?

Chorus:
Make me a channel of blessing today,
Make me a channel of blessing, I pray;
My life possessing, my service blessing,
Make me a channel of blessing today.

  1. Is your life a channel of blessing?
    Are you burdened for those that are lost?
    Have you urged upon those who are straying
    The Savior who does on the cross
  2. Is your life a channel of blessing?
    Is it a daily telling for Him?
    Have you spoken the word of salvation?
    To those who are dying in sin?
  3. We cannot be channels of blessing
    If our lives are not free from sin;
    We will barriers be and a hindrance
    To those we are trying to win.
