Open Heavens For TEENS: Tuesday 19 September 2017 by Pastor Adeboye - Fulfil Your Promise O Lord

Topic: Fulfil Your Promise O Lord [Tuesday 19, September 2017]

Memorise: “Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.” – Matthew 28:20

Read: John 14:12-18

12 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.

13 And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.

14 If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.

15 If ye love me, keep my commandments.

16 And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;

17 Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.

18 I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.

Bible In One Year: Amos 1-4. Hymn: Sing Hymn 1

The promises of God reveal His specific and eternal purposes to which He is unchangeably committed and which Christians can totally depend on. These promises are conditional upon obedience on the part of children of God. God’s promises are unchangeable and sure, this is to say that God does not go back on His word, whatever He says, He will do (Matthew 24:35).

Whenever the fulfilment of a long standing promise is overdue, He creates an opportunity for divine favour, and God does not only give you an opportunity to tap into it by sowing, but will also personally make a demand for you. After waiting for years for a promise from God, at the time of God’s favour, the Lord suddenly changed His promise to Abraham into an irreversible decree. Every promise that the Lord has made to you and your family shall come to pass soon in Jesus’ Name.

Prayer Point: Father, please fulfil Your promises in my life in Jesus’ Name.
