Topic: Desire to Be Faithful, Not to Be Famous -1 [Tuesday 29 August, 2017]
(2 Timothy 3:1-15).
It sounded like a fairy tale years ago when a mother of 15 walked out of her family home in England to marry a Turkish builder leaas than haf of her age! Julia Sewell, then 53, left her husband after meeting Mehmet Sugut on holiday! Withing weeks, she had married the then 25 year-pld who was eight years younger than her eldest son! The new “husband” did not know that she had 15 children until a week before their marriage! Don’t forget that the American Hollywood famous star and singer, Britney Spears, was once married for just 55 hours ( less than three days) to childhood friend! Alexander!
In 2012,a Dubai man divorced his wife within seconds of marrying her. Immediately after the ceremony, the man slipped out of the courtroom where the wedding occurred, and into another nearby courtroom and divorced her. It was a less than 1 minute marriage! What is happening to the world? There is a grip of demonic unfaithfulness in the souls of men! The Bible calls them: “Truce breakers” ( 2 Timothy 3:3a). Agreement breakers! This is one of the strong signs of the last days! Agreement breakers will increase like a strong floos upon the earth, but please resolve that by the grace of God, you will not be in that class. Even in the church, the “Yea” of men is no longer “Yea.”
Do you know for example, that there are believers that have sold this devotional in their churches/offices, collected the money and used it to solve personal problems? Can you still find men and women who can keep secrets in the land anymore? Be faithful in that marriage, no matter the “fire.” Don’t walk out! Be faithful to your employees! Pay them as at when due! Don’t use their salary to build houses or run projects! Such a house/project is cursed! Be faithful to your employer! Don’t use official hours for private matters!
God will judge! Be faithful to your friends even when betrayal is the keyword in the land today! Hear what Theodore Roosevelt said: “It is better to be faithful than to be famous.” Do you agree? Mr. Horace said: “it is your own interest that is at stake when your neighbour’s wall is ablaze.” And the Bible asked in Prov. 20:6b, “but a faithful man who can find?” Be that man! Be that woman and your own expectations will never be cut off!

2. God sees! Repent from past unfaithfulness!
3. Ask for the grace never to be a truce breaker on this planet! Lord, I do not seek to be famous! Make me FAITHFUL as I go out today and daily in Jesus Christ name.
4. Lord, restore my wasted years (Pray it very well).
5. Pray on any matter(s) affecting your peace now! Pray about today seriously as led now.
